I did get the USB port to work on a printer, but the bottom line, is that these cheap adapters simply dont work on MacBooks. I suspect that Apple sets very high electronic standards (ie capacitance, resistance, etc) for their ports and most companies dont bother to meet them. So I would say, that if you are going to use this on a Macbook, don't buy it - maybe it will work on a windows computer but I did not try that.

Perfect! While it lasted.
This was the answer to my 2 USB-C dilemma. Worked flawlessly running 2 displays, charging, and running my Anker hub from my Macbook Pro. That was then. A month later the pass-through Type-C won't charge OR run my display anymore. HDMI and USB 3.0 work just fine. but the C is dead.

USB-C plug too tight - fear damage to computer - asked for refund
The unit mostly does what it says EXCEPT that the USB-C plug that goes into the computer is very hard to insert and unplug. I feared that in the long run it would damage the USB-C connector inside the computer so I did not want to use the device. I gave a extra star because the merchant was quick to respond.

Good adapter
This adapter is great. I help me to connect my notebook to keyboard and a second screen quickly. The adapter is of good quality. I am glad to buy it at such a low prece.

Not made to last
Bought this to use as an HDMI adapter for my Surfacebook 2 to my TV. Worked how it should until it didn't. Just stopped working about 3 months later with no physical damage. HDMI still works as its the same one I use for my PS4 but the adapter just isn't reading.
