Convinient, efficient and clean (love it)
The Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System is an absolute game-changer for anyone with a fish tank! It has completely transformed the way I handle water changes — what used to be a messy, time-consuming chore is now quick, clean, and incredibly efficient. This tool makes the whole process so convenient. No more heavy lifting, buckets, spills, or cleanup — just attach it, turn it on, and you’re good to go. It siphons and refills with ease, all without disturbing the fish or creating a mess around the tank. It’s honestly one of the best aquarium tools I’ve ever purchased. If you’re serious about maintaining a clean and healthy tank without the hassle, I highly recommend this product. It saves time, effort, and keeps everything tidy — couldn’t ask for more!

Super product and well worth the extra few £££'s
I must admit I was a bit apprehensive before buying this as I was sure it wouldn't work as described, or wouldn't fit my tap or something else. I was actually amazed at how good this thing is. I've only used it once so far but it makes changing the water so easy that I was actually standing there at the end scratching my head wondering "Is that it ?" To make this thing work, they say you have to connect it to your faucet and turn the cold water on at full power to generate the suction for taking the water from the aquarium but I just can't bring myself to waste that much water. I tried using the cold tap to get the suction going and then turning the tap off but the suction just died away, so that didn't work. So what I did was, ran the hose form the aquarium, down my hallway, through the kitchen and out the back door and pointed it down a drain. Then I started the gravel cleaner normally and the water just flowed out of the aquarium, down the hose and down the back drain. When I wanted to refill the aquarium, I just connected the hose to my faucet, ran the water to get the right temperature (using a digital thermometer), and refilled the tank. I think the fish loved it as there were no buckets of water getting dumped on top of them. I also just added the chemicals to the tank as it started to refill. Job done. I'll never go back to using buckets and this is one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon. (No I don't work for Python, honestly !)

Simple but time saving
It's quite expensive for a piece of tubing, but well worth the money for the time saved if, like me, you don't fancy researching and procuring valves yourself... I actually followed a recommendation online and bought a simple submersible pump to go with it to aid the "drain" stage as I didn't want to waste water by running my tap. It works great and also sped things up further. One word of warning when you refill - don't turn your tap on too hard. Mine burst the valve open as I didn't get back to the tank quickly enough to release the switch, and I had water absolutely everywhere. Overall good product, simple but effective and I wouldn't do a water change without it now.

Great at filling, wasteful when draining
This is a really good product. You attach one end to your sink and add the other to the tank. Turn the tap on and let the water flow into the sink and it creates a vacuum and the water is syphoned from your tank. When you're done, you warm up the water to the correct temperature for your tank and flip a switch and it fills the tank. The tubing is thick and there is a mix of plastic and metal parts, but it all seems good quality. The only problem for me is that (With a 50ft tube) you have to turn the tap on full to generate the pressure to vacuum the gravel at an equal performance to my little hand held/big bucket combination. With a large tank, this is a hell of a lot of water to waste - I am surprised that Python do not offer a suction "pump" to use electricity rather than water as (again) it's huge amounts of water down the drain. Because of this, I find that I use my 20l bucket and gravel vacuum to empty the tank. It is more powerful in terms of cleaning the gravel if you have a hand pump attached to create the syphon and it's a bit more controlled. Then when I'm ready to fill up I use the Python. This saves a lot of time so I'm glad I bought it, but I do wish there was a better solution for getting the water out of the tank.

Great product although a little pricey
This Is possibly one of the best buys I have bought for the fish tank even although I believe it’s way over priced considering I can possibly buy the raw materials for about a 3rd of the price but the ease of use and simplicity of the python helps to make up for the price. Once you have cleaned the sand it allows you to do other maintenance work on the tank saving you more time. As I had to buy the 50ft python it was a little tricky emptying the hose after filling the tank but once I figured out the best way to work it, it was simple.

Best Thing I ever bought for my aquarium
Guys, I need to thank youfro inventing/manufacturing this item, it has made my life 1000% more easier. I used tyo use bucketsa to fill my 6 aquariums, and it left a mess and took me ages to get it right. Now I just hook up the python, switch it to syphon and it suck all water and dirt out, then i change it to push and it fills up my tank nice and quick, i use a thermometer on my tap to amke sure i have the same temp, and add prime and stability at the point of entry of the water. No issues, no spill and most welcome never ever use a bucket again. My fish, wife and my back thank you so much!! definitly worth the price

Game changer
Game changer for changing the fish tank water. Been using for months and still in near perfect condition

If you're tired of lugging buckets around during water changes, just get this. I’ve been using two of these Python systems for a while now—one strictly for draining and one for filling—and it’s made aquarium maintenance so much faster and cleaner. Setup is simple, and the 50-foot length easily reaches from my tanks to the nearest sink. No spills, no mess. The suction is strong enough to vacuum the gravel well, and I love that I can do partial water changes without disturbing the fish too much. Having two separate systems also keeps things clean—no risk of cross-contaminating dirty water into the refill line. It’s a little investment up front, but it saves time, effort, and your back in the long run. Highly recommend to anyone with medium to large tanks.

Universal adapter… questionable. The whole thing except the air pump can be built for eur20 from any hardware store. I did not manage to create enough suction from my gravity fed system to empty an aquarium. The taps connected to the main can’t be attached to the “universal” adapter. So far I am planning on returning it. Will probably go to the hardware store and see if I can find another adapter but…

I heard about this product for years but as I live in Australia it's not sold here so I never gave it much thought. After years of struggling with buckets, I saw many YouTube videos of North American fish keeper using the Python to change water with ease. I had a look on amazon and saw prime has these at a reasonable price including shipping to Australia, so I bought one. I have not looked back since, its the best money I have spent on a fish keeping accessory in my 15 years in the hobby. Note as I live in Australia, I had to buy adaptors to connect to our taps/hoses. I used both the hoselink us caravan adaptors and Bunnings north American sprinkler adaptor. Both worked with no issues, however the sprinkler adaptor connected to our garden hoses was the easiest. I now do 75-90 % water changes on all my 200litre+ tanks with ease. I use water conditioner (dose for the entire tank once) as the water is going into the tank and have had no issues (including with baby fish and my sensitive German blue rams). My nitrates are super low and tanks crystal clear. You can do less say 50% if you are worried about shocking your fish. In my opinion after filters and air stones, this is the most important accessory you could buy for a freshwater tank of greater than say 60 liters. Get one, it's worth the effort of adapting it your tap/water system. It will save your back and your fish will be much happier.

So easy. 50ft of hose. You can also buy a hook separately for this. I have it hooked to my bathroom sink. Just had to take the aerator off. All you gotta do is put the vacuum in the tank and go turn the tap on until the water goes all the way to the tap and then you can turn of the tap. The suction is good enough to keep sifting the water. No need to waste water!! Most people dont know this. Once your done emptying, either put the hook on or if you dont have one, switch the green part on the tap part to fill and turn the tap back on. Add your conditioner directly to your tank before your start filling. Great quality hose, attachment are useful. All fish keepers with tanks bigger than 20 gallon tanks should have this!

I was having to do a water change on my 100 gallon aquarium once a week, hauling buckets.....It wasn't fun. We have a pretty large amount of plants so I didn't have to change it as frequently. However, this purchase changed my life. I actually couldn't get it to work at all with the feature to siphon from the aquarium using the pressure from your tap so this is what I do and it works perfectly. I set the python into the aquarium and hook it up to my faucet on the other end as I would fill the aquarium. Then I turn on the hose and pump water into the aquarium until the hose is filled, I then detach the faucet end and either hang it outside or into the bathtub and the siphon is incredibly fast. Using this method I can empty or fill from almost anywhere in the house. Changing my aquarium water is no longer a chore. It's incredibly easy. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has an aquarium of any size.
