XH600 6 Piece Hook Lock Pick Set

Cracking beginner set. Wish I had bought this instead of the "beginner" set I did buy. No rakes are included so forces you to concentrate more on SPP'ing locks. The finish on each pick is fine, they have offered me so much more response over my last set of picks. The handles are comfortable, and I'm fairly sure covers can be purchased as an upgrade, if not, just get some heatshrink tubing. When I bought these they were on offer for £5 or so, if they still are then I would snap them up. I bought a euro hook from a different company and these hooks are of an equivalent width so are suitable for most keyways. Other than that the cover is nice and compact. Tension wrench is fine. Nothing else to add really.

For £5.99 you can't go wrong. The picks are strong and will withstand lots of abuse any beginner will give them. They seem more suited to American locks as there is little room to move around using these in euro cylinders. The feel isn't as good as Southord, madbobs or Dangerfield when feeling for pins, but then again expect to pay four times this price. Overall, I'm glad I bought this set.

Love 'em. I actually own a set of Dangerfield Praxis picks but the only thing they're missing is a decent hook and that's where these come in. Nicely weighted and good to hold but best of all....cheep as chips ! Bargain.

Shapes good (as you can see in description) but rather thick and will need sanding.

Not to impressed handle and pick neck length is good but they are too large for most lock keyways and I had to modify almost all of them before they could be used in a euro lock. Personally I'm sticking to southord picks.

Very good hook set with a good veriaty of hook depth and thickness, with nice thick handles.

Great for the price, very comfortable to hold and use, rapid delivery and exactly as advertised. Very happy.
