GPO Vintage Union Jack Flag British Art-Deco Retro Dial Phone, Push Button Telephone for Home, Office, Classic Landline Phones with Electronic Ringer and Curly Cord

I've bought 2 phones. This GPO phone is the push button model and the sound is slightly off. My second phone is also a GPO phone. My second phone is more authentic, its a dial phone and the ring tone is spot on. The Union Jack phone is great as a novelty.

We were in the market for another phone and with our track history with dect phones we were looking for something a little more substantial.We decided to go for something with a bit of a retro look and feel to it; saw this and both the Mrs and myself said "That's the one!"We've now lived with it for a while and we're still impressed with it.The ring, whilst not the loudest, is loud enough for even a couple of old f@rts like us to hear; saying that it doesn't ring that often as people tend to call us on our mobiles so it is more ornamental than anything else.The build is solid enough and the buttons, when pressed, feel quite substantial and it can also be carried quite easily using the finger hole at the back of the phone underneath the headset cradle.The colouring is more matt than I expected but nothing to complain about and I find the blue plastic cord, that attaches the handset to the base, matches the phone nicely.All in all a nice bit of kit and I would recommend it heartily.

I had to return this phone.....it was fantastic to look at,but BT the phone was not able to be used because it wasn't digital ,so i had to return it. SO disappointed because it was just what i wanted and perfect in every other way.

Sounded airy when I first lifted the receiver but when I use it it's fine. Have been told I sound loud on the other end. Can hear everyone fine when I use the phone (other retro phones complained of people sounding quiet) Ringer is good - can hear it fine. Was easy to set up. Phone is simple, push buttons, one ring tone. I think it looks great - I like the slightly darker colour to other union jack phones. Think it's a good price.
