Good Driveway light option
Correct brightness and very low wattage so economical to run. Just need it to last a long time

Really good looking retro style LED
Fantastically styled LED that looks like an old fashioned filament bulb. Allegedly super efficient, and according to the Philips packaging will last 50 years! Time will tell, I'm 53 years old now, so o I'll update the review when I'm 103!

Yes
Good looking bulbs. A tad pricey for bulbs I found but comes with the brand I guess. Would recommend, very bright.

Expensive, seem ok, but big
Early days, but they seem to bright and effective. However do check the size of your fitting as these are significantly bigger than a standard incandescent bulb

Long lasting
Bought these for life duration of bulbs and efficiency so far so good

Superb manufacturing quality ... but the colour of the light is just odd
As usual with Philips, the manufacturing quality of these bulbs is outstanding - the base has no visible blobs of solder or other irregularities and the glass dome is much thicker than with cheaper bulbs - but there is an unusual problem, in fact unique in my experience ... the colour of the light. 3000K is an in-between colour temperature, as the nearest common temperatures are either side of it i.e. 1800-2500K (orange) or 4000K (white-yellow), and the result is a strange greenish-white light rather than the yellow-white light I expected. I thought other commentators were exaggerating, but they were not. Unfortunately the hue is unsettling and, in the end, two of the bulbs ended up lighting my cellar and the third is now in an outside fitting. The odd appearance of the light is puzzling from such a well-known manufacturer; I have two Philips Hue bulbs which are excellent in all aspects and there is certainly no greenish tint in their "natural light" setting. I ended up buying, as a replacement, 1800K/2200K bulbs at a third of the price and of visibly inferior manufacturing quality, but I knew what I was getting (and could physically see them in a store) and the light from them is much warmer and more pleasing. Particularly strange is that other bulbs in the same series are 2700K or 4000K! I do not understand why all supposedly similar bulbs cannot have the same colour temperature. It seems that a subset of buyers, including myself, cannot get on with these 3000K bulbs. 2 stars; if their light was yellow-white (as I expected) rather than green-white I would have given them 5 stars, as they are the brightest 4W bulbs I have ever come across (I would have expected 8-9W with the brightness they have) and are obviously well made.

An eco lamp which is a shade more green (literally) than most
I bought these rather expensive lamps with the belief that they would be reliable in terms of long life and one of the brightest available for the wattage. Well, whilst the jury is still out on the long life aspect, I can't complain about the brightness, certainly they are one, if not THE brightest 4w lamp which I have ever come across, which is the only feature which saved the review from a one star rating, but that is where the positive points end. Firstly, the side effect of the higher light output seems to be that the light is very harsh and colder than expected, certainly not the warm colour which I would expect from a 3000k 'warm' light lamp, and I still can't believe that manufacturers like Philips are still struggling to accurately replicate the warm light of a traditional filament lamp from an LED lamp, certainly not one essentially costing £6 each, which lets be honest is the cost of about 10 traditional old style filament lamps. But by far the worst aspect of these lamps is the horrible green tinge emitted from the lamps, it is like a green halo from the light which is constantly in the corner of your eye and distracting and uncomfortable. I thought I would get used to it after a few nights - I haven't, I thought I could live with it - I can't. I've never experienced such a horrible green tinged light even from a budget no brand lamp. The light from these lamps is so 'green' to the point where these lamps have been relegated from inside the house to outside light fitments. Come of Philips, get your act together, you pioneered this technology for the famous Dubai lamp, and i'm sure that don't have to live in houses lit by green tinged lamps!.

Terrible colour accuracy
Dont bother, this bulb is supposed to be 3000k but instead you get this horrible green tinted light that feels like one of those older cheap florescent lights Great that these bulbs have more led arrays for better efficiency and longevity, but phillips please get the colour right!
