BOC Study Guide 7th Edition: MLS-MLT Clinical Laboratory Examinations

This exam review book was perfect for studying for the MLT exam. It is broken down into sections, and the reasoning why the answers were what they were was invaluable for seeing how the MLT questions would be worded.

I took my MLT BOC exam just a few days ago and I passed.This book does help. It gives you familiarity on how questions are asked on the exam. And it serves as a refresher to review your knowledge. I used this book to test myself. And read the answer explanations, and then I would google more about the topic to learn.It's not a replacement for having paid attention to your MLT classes. But as far as study guides go, I trust this one.

I got the book brand new and it’s missing pages from the 173-204 starting at urinalysis I’m missing questions for urinalysis, I need the book with all questions.

Questions on exam are not like this sanctioned book. Also, most of the answers provided are vague and there are mistakes in the 2017 edition

I am a Medical Laboratory Science with ASCP certification over 40 years of clinical service and teaching experience. There are numerous and serious errors, absolutely false statements, and mismatched references in the urinalysis, blood banking and chemistry sections of this review. Many of the questions are so archaic, they have no relation to the modern practice of laboratory medicine. This is a book screaming for an editorial review. See completely incorrect statement and reference that contains no such information below.

I used this book as my study tool for the certification exam and that was a mistake on my part. There were two questions out of 100 that were similar to the ones in this book. I understand everyone's exam is different, so maybe I was unlucky in that area. I did pass the exam, but it was due to what I was taught in my program.....not this book.
