Modeling gel for curls with coconut and hibiscus, 340 g

This is the one I've been looking for and I've finally found it! I've tried lots of other hair gels and they tended to hold my hair very tightly (even the low hold ones) which led to a lot of breakage. But then I thought I would try this one and am so happy I did! You only need a tiny amount (like just scraping your fingers against the gel) and I apply it to hair after small amounts of the Shea moisture curling milk / smoothie and scrunch it in. And it leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny and with beautifully defined curls that have the perfect amount of hold. I can even use it on dry hair and it's amazing. I'm so happy I've found a gel that works and is good for my hair! The ingredients are really good too. The trick is though to use only a very small amount, it's quite moisturising and sticky so it's important to get the quantity right.

It's my first time purchasing Shea Moisture Curling Gel Souffle. I thought it was a bit runny and watery in texture on first sight. However my hair loves it, it's extremely moisturising in my hair. It doesn't appear to dry hard like other gels l have tried. It enhances my curls leaving them looking healthy and shiny. Suffice to say l will be buying a few more jars, as l will be using this gel souffle as part of my regular hair routine.

Oh how I wish I had read the reviews on the Shea Moisture website as I would never have purchased it..do not be misled this is not a gel but a block of gelatin like substance that is so solid it leaves an imprint of your fingers, and if you attempt to rub into your hands it rolls into glue like balls.. I didn't attempt to put it into my hair. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. So disappointed! Please quality check the batch with the retailer.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this product. I have type 3b hair, and it's quite dry at the moment, so I used the Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk first (which I'm also not sure I like), then this product. While the curls are well-defined, that's where the benefits end. My chief complaints:- Curls are thinner than with other products I've used....doesn't seem to clump them together as well- During use, it's sticky, similar to the way a texturizer for thin hair would be- Leaves my hair slightly crispy and "wet" looking- Lots of flyaways, even when it was wetI plan to try the curl enhancing smoothie next, and I hope that works out better!

This curling gel defines the curls as expected, while providing sheen and moisture.It's a very slipperly gel, and a little goes a long way. It will be trial and error as to how much to use per section of hair, so do expect a few trial runs!My hair is thick with fine strands of mostly 3c, (some 4a areas), and does not hold moisture well. When using this product, I wash, condition, and while the hair is soaking wet, I add a leave in, and then the product.As long as the right amount is being used, drying time is much faster than other creams and gels, whether in plaits, twists or a wash and go.My hair hangs nicely, is very curly, and gets bigger and bigger as the week goes on (which I love!). If it does need a little more moisture 3 or 4 days on, I re-wet the hair, and add a minute amount of gel. This helps define my curls and give a fresh look.The only downside I need to mention, is, when doing a wash and go, your hair may start to clump together closer to the scalp. I guess this depends on hair type/curl pattern and how wet the hair was when applying the gel. You wont notice this clumping by looking, as the ends will still be curly and defined. However, if you try and put your fingers into your hair at the roots, you may feel it all starting to get fluffy and a little tangled! This isn't a huge problem for me, as I like to put my hair up at the end of the week anyway, and when it's time to wash, I use a good conditioner so any tangling isn't an issue.

This was the one product missing from my wash & go regimen. My hair type would be considered fine and mostly 4A with some 3C curls.Using the Curling Gel Souffle with protective styling was a little too heavy for my hair but mixed with ECO styler gel I have now perfected my wash & go.After washing I apply SumaGrapeseed Oil 500ml (Pack of 3) to damp hair followed by Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen/Grow and Restore Leave-In Conditioner 16 oz, I then rake in the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle 326 ml and finish off by smoothing in the Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Styling Gel -12oz. This combination leaves me with soft, moisturised, and defined hair that can last up to 6 days. During colder months I refresh my hair two/three days in by spritzing my hair with water, reapplying the Souffle and twisting my hair into four giant twists before bed which restores the moisture and bounce to my curls.

This is great stuff - no crunchy hair or residue, but it holds all day. Lasts ages as you don't need to use much. Smells lovely too - am forever getting comments on how nice my hair smells.

This is fabulous I do recommend you use it with the Shea Moisture Curl and Style Milk, l have frizzy, course, curly hair and it really works well together rather than separately. It leaves my hair smelling lovely and feeling soft and defines the curls. Definitely recommend.
