This is a good box for storage. The description is accurate although I thought it would be larger than what it actually is. It is very sturdy and should withstand 250+ lbs without issue as long as the lid is on top. The handles work I haven't tried to use them with weight yet. They seem ok. The zipper lock is by far more secure than other zipper locks I've used. Overall this ottoman/box has a nice well made feel and appearance with a decent price. If it does withstand heat the way it's advertised then it's definitely worth a five star. I'm going to go ahead and give it the benefit of the doubt.

This is a nice way to store some things I wanted to lock up, and it’s fireproof. The lock is flimsy though and easily broken into. I’m generally happy with it though.

This ottoman is surprisingly sturdy despite feeling thin at first. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my important documents and photos are safely stored and protected in case of an emergency. The lock is very secure, which adds an extra layer of reassurance. It was also super easy to assemble and is very comfortable to sit on. Overall, an excellent and reliable storage option that’s both practical and stylish!

The zipper lid is what made me buy it. I have a dog who uses it to get on bench to look out window. The last one she ruined. This is holding up well so far. When she knocks lid off that zipper keeps my shoes in there. In addition it keeps the ottoman shape. It was easy to assemble. It matched the description. The height was perfect. There was no smell. It storage capacity is great for my shoes. It is a value for the money.

As a decent, cheap ottoman, it's fine. As a discrete storage container, it's pretty okay. As a security box, it's comical. If someone wanted to get into this thing, it would take no time at all. The body is just thin pressboard (maybe plastic sheeting) covered in faux leather, the lock is plastic, designed to trap the zipper pulls, and mounted to the pressboard, and the bottom is just fabric with another faux-leather covered pressboard insert. There's no way this thing is fireproof or waterproof. As I mentioned, the bottom is just fabric. It might be flame resistant, and it probably protects against spilling a drink on top of the cushion, but that's the only protection you're going to get from the elements. The description makes this thing sound like it's a proper safe, but a Viking, it is not. I've got locking suitcases that provide more security than this ottoman does. The only real security this thing provides is that it looks like a fairly unassuming ottoman. Right out of the box it goes together in seconds. The zippers are relatively smooth and only hangs up a little around the corners. I don't know if it's really capable of supporting 700 lbs, (I have my doubts based on the other false claims) and I really don't have any way to test that, but I can sit on it without any issues, and that's all I really care about. It's fine as a cheap, functional furniture piece, and it's great for storing things. I just wouldn't trust it to protect anything of value. If I'd bought this with the intent of using it as a secure storage, I'd be incredibly disappointed and would have sent it back immediately. However, I bought it as a cheap ottoman; a place to sit my laptop when I'm watching movies in bed, so it works perfectly for my needs. There's a whole lot of false advertising here, and I'm just glad I didn't buy it for any of those false claims.

Got this to secure valuables in our son's dorm room. Seemed a little flimsy when it arrived, but much better once we assembled. Working well after one semester of use.
