Best bedding ever purchased!
This bedding is probably one of the best things I have ever purchased for my Guinea Pigs. No dust, no smell, no wet patches. It absorbs every last drop of liquid and goes yellow when my piggies wee there so I can see where to spot clean easily. Because of how absorbent this is, the newspaper underneath doesn't get soaked making the full clean out that I do once a week much quicker and less of an annoyance! My piggies love it too. It is so soft and bouncy on their feet and they love just walking around in it. It also keeps them very warm. The odour control is excellent. The only thing I can smell in the hutch is their hay, which smells nice anyway. You may think that £22 is a lot of money, but when you think about how much you are getting, it's very affordable. The pack is so compressed and lasts for ages even when you use a very thick layer. Delivery was fast, the outside grey packaging was broken, however the actual bag of bedding inside was untouched. I would highly recommend this bedding over everything else I have tried. Please do not ever use wood shavings for your Small Animal's bedding as it can cause respiratory problems and further illness and desiese. Instead use paper bedding! For rabbits and Guinea pigs please always make sure they have fresh hay too.

making it easy to spot-clean and full-clean the hay trays
I use this for my guinea pigs. This is a superb product. Economical, soft and absorbent. You'd think that paper would disintegrate when wet but this doesn't turn to mush, the flakes maintain their integrity, making it easy to spot-clean and full-clean the hay trays. Another advantage of this product is that it's white, making urine infections easier to spot (guinea pig sows are prone to urine infections). I have used card-based bedding in the past - Megazorb and Carefresh being two of the products I have tried. Carefresh is excellent but very expensive whereas this is just as good but much more economical. Megazorb can get very dusty, whereas Fitch is not.All in all this ticks all the boxes and this is the one I will stick with.A little tip for piggy-owners who have tried fleece but find it gets soiled quickly: Place a tray, such as a gravel tray within the cage, place Fitch inside it and top with their hay. I've had nine piggies from various different back-grounds and ALL of them prefer to do the majority of their wee's on the Fitch. Makes maintaining fleece much easier.

More cost effective than other small animal bedding
I have always used Kaytee and Carefresh for my gerbils and Syrian hamster, but with a Detolf tank and a Barney cage it works out at a LOT of bedding.I decided to give this a go and have been fairly pleased with it. It’s not as soft as Kaytee, it’s more similar in texture to Carefresh, but so far it seems to be very absorbent and good with odour control.I have to say it is a bit messy when using it as it does crumble away, rather than come off in clumps that you can then break up yourself, but that’s nothing a Hoover can’t fix.I have mixed it with Aspen for the gerbils and it seems to hold tunnels well when mixed together. I’m not too confident tunnels would be as good using just Fitch alone. There is a slight smell to it, but it’s not enough to cause any issues.I see comments about the price hike, but I never used this before, so for me I’m happy to pay the new price, as I still believe I am saving a lot of money on bedding!I have done a full clean out of the Detolf, and 2 spot cleans of the Barney cage and it seems to have hardly made a dent in the bag!It is a large bag so you will need somewhere to store it, but it’s great stuff so far.

Awesome odour control for your small furries and genuinely dust free.
I am using this as substrate for my mice and hamster. It is fantastic- and I have tried quite a few kinds of beddings recently looking for the best one. This truly is totally dust free (unlike wood pulp beddings like Megazorb that are actually quite dusty and bad for rats and mice with breathing issues). The pieces are soft and absorbent- my mice spend hours carrying bits of it around with them making new nests and generally entertaining themselves. It is so comfy there is no need to provide them with anything else for nest building or putting in their little houses. My hamster is long haired and this doesn't get caught in his 'trousers' like some bedding does. And last but not least- this stuff is BRILLIANT at keeping odours under control. My mice previously stank out my living room no matter how often I cleaned them out, but now the smell is gone. My hunt for the perfect substrate is now over :)

Will never use any other!
I absolutely love this bedding and so glad it is back and in different quantities now. I have two house rabbits in my bedroom and needed something very absorbant. I've tried every bedding available, from shavings, wood pellets, yesterday's news etc but this is the only one that does not smell. It also lasts me over 6 months for two bunnies and that's changing their trays at least 3 times a week. Cleaning is a dream with this, I just empty the tray and the plastic is untouched, obviously I clean it with disinfectant at times, but with Fitch the tray is literally bone dry if I fill it to the top. It's lovely and soft and does not get ground into the carpet or spread everywhere like other types. Highly recommend for cleaning and value for money, it lasts me far longer than any other 20kg bedding!

The bedding is excellent, my ferrets absolutely love it
My delivery went astray and was not delivered the day it was expected and I got in touch with Fitch who immediately contacted the courier. The driver had delivered it to the wrong address but 2 days later the delivery driver picked it up from where he had taken it ( a dear old lady who didn't have a clue) and delivered it to me with lots of apologies. In the meantime Fitch had sent another delivery out to me which they told me to keep as a goodwill gesture or donate to a small animal charity. The bedding is excellent, my ferrets absolutely love it, making snow tunnels in it and having fun. It seems to be mega absorbent and unlike the care fresh ultra bedding does not make a sickly smell when my furry friends do their business. I will be buying again from Fitch. Excellent product and excellent customer service.
