A blast to play with! Could be improved.
Locks fine and pick set is decent for the money. BUT the newer cross lock cannot be picked with these picks. Also, only most rudimentary instructions for padlock (and none for others - if you know much about locks it’s all about the same). Doesn’t tell you if you pick one of the harder ones it will lock up mid way and then not accept the key (so pick fast all the way around or be prepared to pick to unlock). It’s is what it is. I’m still glad I bought it and enjoy messing with it. Not bad for the price but wish I’d have known some of this in advance so hope it helps!

Great product
Great product, I actually bought 15 sets as I was teaching a class on security by design, and these locks are a perfect example of how you can overcome poor security implementations.

Some what naff product design accuracy.
Poorly made (at least mine). Firstly take note, these locks AREN'T re pinnable. I thought they were, and one of the main reasons why I went with this...... I was *quite* disappointed when I found out. Now, the poorly made. With the padlock, where the top of the tumbler (where the pins go into it), where that directly meets the main acrylic body... there is a *very* slight gap, too where ... even when all pins are correctly aligned, it still will not unlock (diminishing correct feedback, as if pins aren't actually correctly aligned), as due to how it's been made, the break point for the pins (when all correctly aligned) is fractionally lower to where they *should* be, and so *additional* wiggling on each pin has too continually be applied for each unlock attempt. This also causes *additional* rubbing on the pin entry area on the brass tumbler, where it's making me concerned that its going to slowly wear away where the buttom part of the lower section of each pin meets the tumbler during turning, and slowly cause an increase size discrepancy - causing further inaccurate reading of the pin feedback - and possibly eventually the loss of the correct function of the padlock.

Great set - fun to learn
I've been watching YouTubers picking locks for a while, and always wanted to give it a good. After having a quick look I found this set, which seems to be pretty complete. There are sort of 3 sets included- The main set of 12 picks in a fabric case A plastic card with 5 pieces in A bag of other bits, I found this had the highest quality leverage and nice metal handled pick. The locks are all very cool to see in the transparent shells, the rubber sleeves add an extra layer of difficulty, though it didn't take me long to realise it's really all about the feel of the feedback, but being able to see really helps work out the feel of where to position the picks. There is a basic guide, and was emailed video links for more. I've had fun playing around with this, though I did it so long on the first day my wrists started to ache! Would make a great gift.
