Great at just about anything that you need a flashlight for!
The media could not be loaded. This is the best all around general use flashlight that I’ve ever used that still excites the flashlight nerd in me. This is the light to have close at hand; in the junk drawer or glove box for when the cell phone flashlight won’t cut it.The first thing that makes the the ultimate “do all” flashlight is the battery and charging system. The 21700 battery provides great run time and stores energy well. Experts estimate that if you leave a 21700 charged but disconnected for a year it will only loose about 20% of its charge while sitting. The batteries aren’t too expensive to have an extra around in case you need the light and the battery is drained(~$5-13 per battery). Look at the Molicel P45B battery as a good spare. The charged battery can be stored in the light for an extended period of time by unscrewing the head of the light 1/4 turn to ensure there isn’t a drain on the battery. The battery size is about the perfect balance of size and capacity. I typically get about 10 hours of real world use between charges. Charge time from drained is around 3hrs but it will go from drained to useable much faster. It can also be used as a portable power bank to charge other devices if the need arises. The size/form factor of the light is the next big factor in making it the best light to have close at hand. It will fit easily in a jacket pocket and isn’t uncomfortable to clip into jeans pockets while working on projects. It’s perfect size to hold and point with a similar grip size feels of a larger screwdriver. It’s small enough to fit between the chompers if you need to go hands free and have the terrible habit of holding lights with your teeth. It’s incredibly unnecessary to risk dental work as the light has a magnet in the tail cap that lets it attach under the car hood and any other magnetic surface that’s properly positioned for placing the light. It also has a 2-way pocket clip that lets it clip to the brim of a ball cap for hands free operation. The last and probably most important thing that makes this little light awesome for just about every flashlight situation is the light output and user interface. Wurkkos rates their lights lumen output pretty accurately. Most budget lights just throw an output number on their marketing because the average person doesn’t have a way to verify the output. As a frame of reference the typical led bulb that screws into a table lamp at your home will put out ~800 lumens. This flashlight will produce ~4000 lumens on turbo. It’s overkill and blinding in most situations. However, it’s very nice to have the capability on hand!(think walking the dog or sitting around the campfire, when something goes bump in the night) The light output is high CRI so colors look very accurate at night. I’ve even found it to be a good lighting source for night photography. The beam is floody which I find to be more desirable than spot in most cases. It will still throw useable light about 1/8 of a mile. The wide floody beam is great for looking for something at close to medium range, but there might be better options if you are needing to look at something that is at longer range. The user interface lets you dial in the exact amount of light you need and is pretty easy to use. It also has a ton of advanced features that provide the ability to customize all the blinky/strobe modes and color auxiliary modes. I’ve found that the red auxiliary lights are awesome to have when needing very little light while preserving night vision. If you are someone or you know someone that grabs for the dollar store flashlight when the cat goes missing or the car makes a funny noise after dark; buy one of the lights!

Dependable, bright, relatively inexpensive flashlight. Met all my requirements for best flashlight.
So... awhile back I got 'into' flashlights, and a pre-production version was on sale so I decided to buy it. It turned out to be the best flashlight for me. When it went into production, I wanted to see if anything had changed so I got this.Dimension-wise, it's a little over an inch in diameter and about four and a half inches long. It comes with a battery that's about half-charged (you have to remove the tail cap and throw out the piece of paper that keeps the battery from draining or the flashlight won't work). It has a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, a manual, extra O-rings, a pocket clip and a lanyard. There are some technical stuff that, if you care about that kind of stuff, make this a VERY cool flashlight, but simply put, it's an adjustable, very bright flashlight that is meant for shorter distances. It can be charged with the included cable, and if you have a USB-C to USB-C cable, you can use the flashlight as a charging bank, with the flashlight being able to charge an average modern smartphone fully once. One click to turn on the light on its last remembered setting. Click again to turn it off. Click and hold with the light on to adjust the brightness. Two clicks to turn on with the light on high. Two clicks and hold to turn in turbo mode, which is VERY bright and makes the flashlight get hot very quickly.Beyond that the included manual explains the operation of Anduril 2.0, which is an open-source flashlight user interface. Yep, that's right, flashlights now come with their own operating systems. Suffice it to say, if you can get into it, it has some additional capabilities that are cool and amazing, including the additional led lights, but you can ignore all of that if you just want a very bright flashlight can also be set at lower brightness.I only have one minor quibble, which is that I wish the lanyard came with an adjuster, but since no other flashlight comes with that I can't really complain. For what it's worth, Amazon sells adjusters for $6.70 for a pack of ten, and they worked really well for me. The other thing I wish is that this flashlight came in different colors, so I can only hope this does well enough that they want to add colors. In summary, even though I now own many flashlights, this is the one I use the most, and I justify buying a second one because one is for in the house and the other is for the car.
