Action RPG Card Battler
This series is something unique with its mechanics. A fun young shounen styled story with a grid and semi-turn based battle system, but not how other games do it. You can actively move through your 9x9 grid and the turns are essentially cool downs to pick new cards from your deck. There are field effects, card combos, some entries have an emotion guage or other effects. There's a ton of customization in how you play, challenging battles (though some may feel unfair at times), but they're all possible if you build your deck correctly. The only down side is a lot of random encounters can slow down the gameplay, but the new super buster mode just for this collection can speed you through these encounters when they get tedious. Otherwise, they can be useful for grinding up cards and money as post-battle rewards, and most bosses have ways to rebattle tougher versions of their ghosts. This all said, maybe skip or use the super buster mode to quickly go through the first game, as it is far more of a proof of concept than anything else, much like how other game boy advanced games started new series off rough with some sequels becoming some of the best games on the console. If you don't mind some back tracking and sometimes tedious overworld puzzles/challenges, this series can be one of the best gaming experiences out there if the rest of what I talked about is your cup of tea

Very good collection
As far as collections go, this one is quite good. I really appreciate the borders for modern TVs, and the filter options are a nice touch to make sure the game looks good on the big screen. It's also really cool that all the missing content from Battle Network 6 has been restored, and can be played officially in English for the first time. It also includes online multiplayer - not every game needs it, but it's a quality of life improvement that the series needed, now that it's no longer constrained to old hardware. However, this is a warts-and-all re-release - no tweaking, very few other quality of life updates. The games do allow you to access the eReader cards that were Japan-exclusive whenever you want, which is nice and can prevent some softlocks in some games. On launch, there was a way to softlock yourself in the English language version of Battle Network 6, but that's since been patched. So, make sure your game is updated before doing the Battle Network 6 post-game.This game will not fix some of the problems people had with Battle Network 4, or even the clunkiness of the original Battle Network. So, keep that in mind. Regardless, the Battle Network Series is a lot of fun, with some pretty unique mechanics, one that doesn't neatly fit into a genre, but in the best kind of way.

JACK IN, MEGAMAN, EXECUTE!
TLDR; If you have the chance to pick this up, DO ITLet's go back in time to what was in MY opinion, one of the BEST game franchises to EVER bless the days of the GameBoy Advance, that did not have "Pokemon" or "Mario" in its name. For ME personally, THIS was the game series that got me into playing games for the storyline, and boy was it a rediculous and wild ride that even back when it was fresh, would never have flown in real life xD Being an elementary schooler, Jacking into the Net to fight off virus attacks and save the world from cyber terrorists not once, not twice, not even just thrice. But SIX freaking times!!!! (Ten times if you count both versions of BN 3-6, TWELVE times if you count the branch off game Battlechip Challenge for the GBA and Network Transmission for the Gamecube)Then there was the battle system. Two sides (blue and red) of a 3x3 grid to which you moved around and attacked with various attacks with varying close and long ranges, and Megaman himself would also adopt various special forms throughout the series that would mix up his default attack (but cmon, it wouldnt be a Megaman game without the tried and true classic. The Megabuster with its Charge Shot)And this is just a loose summery of the game. In fact, the battle system would be used again on the DS for the Megaman Star Force series, and then used AGAIN but modified to 4x4 in an indy game called "One Step From Eden" (think "Slay the Spire" but with the combat of MMBN)Oh and then there was the Anime which VERY loosely followed the manga and game xDThis series was one of the highlights of my childhood and there was NO WAY i was gonna miss a chance to play again through the whole series without the help of an emulator.Again, if you have the chance to pick this up. DO IT

Great Nostalgic Trip, Still Wish for Autosaves
To have 6 classic games on the go at this price is nearly perfect. The added online functionality makes trading and battling people a lot easier, plus the soundtrack still bops. Wish there was an autosave though because you will lose major progress in unfair random enounters.
