Slumberdown Wonderfully Warm Multi-Zone Electric Blanket with Twin Controls, Timer & 9 Heat Settings, King Size

We bought a double which was so impressive we also bought a king size. The double has only one set of controls which would be a possible problem if two people were sharing and contrary to the info, only has two heat zones, body and feet. The king size has two controls and separate heat zones for each person. They are very easy to put on with a wide elastic band top and bottom which slides under the mattress to hold it in place. Our double is on a small double bed (4ft wide) and covers the whole width of the mattress and it still stays in place well. It doesn't feel uncomfortable to lie on, as a much earlier one I had did. It heats up quickly and if you get too hot it also cools down quickly too by changing the setting. Although it's supposed to adjust the temperature automatically depending on the room temperature, I'm not certain how well it does that and I changed it myself during the night, but a heavier sleeper might not need to. I chose this one because of the zipped on top blanket which will make it much easier to wash I hope, although the leaflet says it has to be pulled to shape after washing which is a bit of a concern. I don't think it's really meant to be washed very often. It certainly makes the bed really cosy.

Quality is good and the materials used are really soft and cozy to lie on....even when off there is a warmth to the fabric. As others have said, dont expect it to cover the entire size of the mattress - it is designed to run from shoulders to feet (not the pillow area). Some warmth can be felt 10-15 mins after turning on but it really needs to run for an hour plus to get up to speed....but it has different timer options so that helps. The quad zoning is a great function....our dog like to sleep at the bottom of our bed in the winter so we put the feet on maximum and the body sections less according to our own preferences - 2 humans and a dog all perfectly warm :)

This one of the best things that I have bought this year. The blankets are small so I've ordered this size for a King sized bed and it is perfect. I put it on about an hour before I go to bed and then it is toasty warm when I get there. Getting into bed is like sinking into a warm bath, just heavenly. It has separate controls for each side and possible just to heat the foot end. My husband used to get cramp at night so just heats his feet and now no more cram. Only complaint is that the controls are noisy and my husband wakes up if I loudly click the control on again.

Easy to fit and use. Feels great to lay on, no wires or cables. The soft topper made the bed more comfy than normal. We found the heat a pleasant level, it doesn't get too hot but you want to give it a good 20 mins if you want to feel the full force and it may not be the one for you if you want it like a sauna. Found ourselves using it all the time even when we didn't really need too. nice feature that each side and feet can have different heats.

Brilliant, so glad I got this. Even die hard hubby is using his side occasionally. The four independent heating zones are wonderful and the blanket is ver snuggly; you definitely can’t feel the wires. Two small niggles: 1. The control buttons are a bit noisy when you change temperature/ timer and 2. The blue light 12 hour time indicator is far too bright (and blue light is a stimulant) so please take note Slumberdown.

We bought this as a replacement for an older one that had developed a fault. Compared to our previous one, this has a nice fleecy texture, and has you can independently set the heating (0-9) in the zones for the feet and the body. It takes a little longer to warm up, and I put that down to the thicker fleece (the other one was pretty thin), so turn it on well before you go to bed. Can' fault it so far.

Nothing to dislike, very good product does what the manufacturer claims. Customer service was prompt and efficient.

The controls for this electric blanket has been designed by an idiot, Firstly they are wired the wrong way round, or "upside down" so that the control is the wrong way round for anyone who wants to control it from the side of the bed - unless you loop the mains lead back over itself, which makes it look extremely untidy.And secondly it won't remember the previous setting when you turn it off and back on again. So every time you turn it on, you have to reset it again to your chosen setting.So a very poor design for the control. I would never have bought it if I had known about this.
