The ultraviolet lamps lure the flying insects into the electrically charged grid and fall into the removable easy to clean tray.

This is a great product and does what it says
This is a great product and does what it says. My only complaint is that I have yet to find a way to clean the grill inside which is recommended in the instruction manual and doesn't tell you how to do this! . The tray at the bottom is easy enough but how you get the dead flies and moths off the grill is still a mystery. Anybody else have this problem? I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for this problem. The grill now resembles a battle field which isn't very pleasant when I have it in the kitchen!

Swings and roundabouts.
This item is good value, it was delivered quickly and was well packaged. It is smart looking and having a remote control is a bonus. It seems to be quite effective although it tends to fry its catches a little more slowly than a much more expensive professional appliance. I own a higher powered more expensive unit which does kill most insects outright quickly its electrified grill is not as fine and therefore does not trap first time every time.I will probably buy another of these for next summer.

Let down by poor,or non-existent quality control
It seems to do the job okish,the main problem I've found is that the major plasic components,such as the slide out tray,and the bottom panel just below it are very poor quality,the slide out tray is about 6" too short,and the bottom panel sags badly in the middle. Consequently,when sliding out the tray to empty it,there are just as many corpses left in the bottom plastic panel,which makes the slide out bit redundant,as the whole device always has to come down from the ceiling to empty it properly.

And I really love the 'crackle' sound when it catches another one
Really effective bug zapper, currently being used in our church coffee bar area. The exceptionally warm (for Scotland) summer has meant many places in Girvan have been afflicted with flies. I can't abide flies, but flypaper is unsightly and spraying bug-spray around in large quantities seems dangerous. This Rapidzap bug zapper has proved highly effective. Because our church is quite brightly-lit, it's maybe not the most effective during the day, but leaving the zapper on at night has made a noticeable difference. And I really love the 'crackle' sound when it catches another one... warms my heart!

Works well but doesn’t last.
This is the third Vermatik fly killer I’ve bought. Although they work very well, none of them last more than 12 months.The current one has just died after purchasing it last August.Will try another manufacturer next.

Clean and easy to use. Site it near the ceiling for good results.

Product not as good as expected but customer service AMAZING
Was good for first 24 hours then would switch on after that, however customer service was brilliant offered a replacement or refund immediately so really pleased with that

SUPER FLYCATCHER !
Has proved very effective at reducing the numbers of flies and other flying bugs in our conservatory. The only slight drawback is the 'burnt hair' smell when the larger bugs meet their end but it is worth it in reducing the nuisance of the swarms of bugs. Good product would recommend to friend or family member.
