The valve is crap, use an inline metal one
The valve is crap, use an inline metal one. Mount it close to the tap as possible straight to the metal flexi hose & you will have instant hot water. On a waterfall tap if you turn it on hot & then reduce the flow it is very nearly boiling. Uses very little space, we have one under the kitchen sink & one under the bathroom sink. Works a treat & you only pay to heat the water you use.

Rubbish retailer! S**te warranty! Paper doesn’t refuse ink
This is a great product for as long as it worked. Purchased as it had a 3 year warranty! However it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. After just short of 2 years the internals have ruptured and leaking water. As you can imagine water and electric nice and safe! However after Contacting seller I had no response. Amazon contacted on my behalf (first class to them) seller didn’t even respond to them. And tried contacting manufacturer and no reply. So if you’re looking a water heater don’t buy this product and definitely not from this retailer. If I could have given zero stars I would! Sorely disappointed. To retailer! Apologies for my review however if you’d have replied and replaced my water heater as per your warranty it would have been 5 stars! Your fault

Good
It can get very hot the water. It will blow a 13amp fuse. The DAFI is best receiving power through a cut off switch with a neon light, that is connected direct to the main fuse board. I connected the plastic end of the DAFI water input side, with a flexible tap connector hose; and the other end of the hose to a copper pipe with a compression fit connector. There is no other way that I know of, in connecting the plastic end to the copper pipe.My neon cut off switch is receiving power from a common wall socket in the kitchen keeping the wires hidden inside the wall to the switch. The other DAFI in the bathroom is receiving power from my electric power shower remote cut off switch. This is all about how to connect the DAFI because the instruction will not be clear to the Lay man. You can also buy insulation for the copper pipe. If I was selling the DAFI water heater, I would also include in the box, one flexible connector tap tail for the plastic inlet connection side to a copper pipe.

poor performer
supplied OK on time.I am disappointed in its performance, because unless you turn down the flow rate to very slow the water does not run really hot.It is used only to wash up at a sink .I would not use it anywhere else in the house, and would not buy again .

Straight Forward, in confined space
I bought this to replace an existing heater, (same model) which had started leaking after 6 yrs solid use in a busy cafe. Its a simple and reliable design, which will suppy continuous hot water all day long (unlike water heaters with a tank which get topped up with cold water as you use them, thereby reducing the temperature so you have to wait for warm up again). Its not scalding hot unless you turn the tap down to reduce the flow, on full flow its plenty hot enough (hand hot) for washing up, so you have easy control over temperature. It will not supply scalding hot water at full flow, you would need a much more powerful boiler for that. It is also very compact and can be fitted any way up to suit your space.

Important Notice for potential buyers: requires 32A supply
It's very important to make sure that you have a 32A supply when you order this as it is quite a heavy duty unit, which is amazing considering its size (no bigger than a toilet roll). My old unit broke so I bought this without thinking about the small print, my last unit was only wired to 16amps so I've had to rebuy, I'm going for the 3.7kWh model now. Just to say, it does work, tested it on a seperate supply and will keep it because I'm a hoarder. Great unit, instructions in Polish, but supplied with a double sided A4 quick guide/ factsheet. Would recommend. One minor drawback, it does come with a stopcock of sorts as can be seen in the picture, but I'd seriously recommend ordering a more substantial one as they seem to leak from quite early on.Seems well made, the black plastic pipework on top seems cheap at first glance, but if it keeps the water in and does the job, then no complaints. There are other videos online on how to replace those too, but so far so good for me.

Good supply of instant hot water
My plumber connected 3 of these 7.3 kW units, using plastic piping for the inlets, and flexible metal piping for the outlets (to connect with the taps). In this situation, he reckoned the units needed supporting brackets. Had they been connected to rigid metal piping for the inlets and outlets, then they probably would not need supporting brackets. The regulating plastic taps for all 3 units leaked – suggesting a design fault. As the installations were urgent, my plumber replaced these with metal taps – these solved the problem. The Dafi heater is an excellent idea – only using power to heat the water when you need it. Being so close to the tap from which the water flows, you get hot water almost immediately – quicker than the hot water produced by my gas boiler. If you need the water to be hotter, decrease the water flow, as you would in a shower. The Dafi heater saves the expense and inconvenience of having a system of hot water pipes. The disadvantage would be if you need an airing cupboard as would be provided by an unlagged hot water tank. (A lagged hot water tank would seriously limit the effectiveness of an airing cupboard.)Apart from the difficulties mentioned, I am well pleased with these heaters.
