Nice their back
I have used lighters like these for decades for camping, emergency situations, and general purposes, but for awhile I haven't been able to find any. Now I find this set on Amazon....Nice. I highly recommend something like these matches for any backpack or emergency kit.Do not be fooled by some company's listing these lighters/matches as permanent/forever matches, they are not, but there are company's that sell replacement strikers, flints, and wicks for products like these.Absolutely do not use anything other than either Zippo or Ronsen lighter fuel for this type of lighter. There have been others who recommend gasoline or other flammable products in this item, and that is dangerous at best, and using gasoline in a lighter is like caring a bomb in your pocket.

Pretty nuce
It's a small item that is about the size of a matchbox. Seems to work well. Has a small hook on it that can be used to attach it to your bag or key chain.

I put them in the garbage after six weeks.
I purchased a pack of five of these and was hopeful they would be a great replacement for waterproof matches in an emergency situation. No. Not even close.I weighed (with a balance capable of 0.01 gram precision reading) all five metal matches without fuel and fully fueled. I let them sit undisturbed on my cool basement workbench for about six weeks and checked their weights at several intervals. Two of them lost a significant amount of fuel 65% and 39%) over a 48 day period. The other three lost smaller amounts of fuel (8%, 6% and 1%). In other words, you can't rely on these to retain their fuel for any long term storage.I found lighting them very difficult. They spark, but rarely actually light the end of the metal match wick. Talk about an exercise in frustration. If these were regular matches, you'd think they were old and wet.I would like to know if any manufacturer can guarantee that lighter fluid will not leak/evaporate from their product. If they can't guarantee that, they will eventually run out of fuel and become useless. Why do they sell a product that needs regular refilling, even when you don't use it? Who's going to be bothered with remembering to refill them? A regular cigarette lighter is more predictable. The overall quality of this product is somewhat cheap. I would rather purchase one really well built item (think of a nice stainless steel zippo lighter) instead of five flimsy items. Screwing the metal match into the metal container felt imprecise and sloppy. You can break the small metal clip with your fingers with a modest effort.Think about a survival situation in the cold woods, or camping on a weekend. Would you rather be under the illusion that you have a fire source (metal match that really does not work because it is out of fuel), or have nothing to light a fire and clearly understand that you have nothing to start a fire? There is a real false sense of security with this product.I put these in the garbage can ... where they belong. It is not worth my time to return them to the manufacturer. If the manufacturer wants my business first, not my money first, they'll produce a high quality, reliable, safe and easy to light product. If they want my money first, they'll keep peddling this substandard product. They either don't know what they are doing (making an inferior product) or they do know what they are doing and really don't care about quality and functionality. Stating the product has a rubber o-ring gives you the illusion that it does not leak fuel. It does leak fuel. Not worth the high risk of them not lighting when needed.

Not the Best Lighters
Firstly, the lighters came with no instructions. After looking up similar lighters online, we came to the conclusion they fill with lighter fluid from the top where the match stick screws in, but none of the lighters would even form a spark. Out of all six lighters, none of them worked. So I can't say they would be of much use in an emergency. I would be disappointed if they weren't so cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Wonderful!
Works great. Lighter fluid seems to take the logo off right away which was fine because it was just a company name. Works great and has a big flame! I keep one in my coat pocket for emergencies and another in my car. One last one in my emergency grab bag and then I gave 1 away and that person likes it too! Pretty small and convenient. Only downside I can find is that along the side of the striking stick, the metal corners are very sharp and pointy. Can scratch other things like your wallet, phone case, and phone screen if not careful. That’s something to watch for if you have one on your keychain.

Be careful!
These are fun to play with, but be careful! First time I used one the metal cover came off: no big deal. However, these aren’t filled with packing like a normal lighter, so it’s basically a bottle of lighter fluid. When you strike the match, it is super easy to slosh some fluid out the open bottle: now you have the match burning in one hand, and the bottle burning in the other! (Don’t ask how I know.). If you clamp your thumb down on the hole while striking you can avoid lighting the bottle.

These are awesome!
These forever match deals are too cool, the only thing though, they did not come with instructions or any other information telling you how to use them or if you need anything extra. They will strike but you also have to add lighter fluid in the tops of them or the wick won't light. We had NO CLUE lol - actually googled it and found out how to use them, pretty cool either way. Needless to say, the lighting fluid is NOT INCLUDED. I'm assuming Zippo fluid would work -
