My husband uses this to "cook" his espresso in the Italian drip espresso on a gas cooktop. The heat is perfectly spread out--takes about 5 minutes. Leaves a few burn marks on its bottom, but not a problem for us.

I desperately needed to find something that would allow me to still use my vintage glass Vision cookware with an induction cooktop, and this was the solution! It’s thick and high-quality, and I could not be happier!

I got this to use on a gas camping stove in my small teardrop trailer that has wide open spaces in between the metal bars of the grate that allow cookware to tilt if not perfectly placed on the surface. The idea is this covers the gaps and gives a more solid surface. I have another that’s foolishly painted and I’m slowly burning the paint off that one - it looks horrible, but that one has a handle that fits in a slot and can be attached in less than a second by simply inserting it into the slot and removed the way. The removable handle is key for storage where space it at a premium. Yes, this plate performs wonderfully, but I wish the handle was as easily removed without tools as my other. while the plate is in use on a small camp stove, it’s actually a hazard. I’ll be altering this to use the same type of handle. Minus one star for requiring a screwdriver and the need to alter it. Otherwise, recommended.

Bought this so I could use my clay cookware on the glass top stove and the product did its job. Plate allowed for the clay ware to have even distribution of heat at a gradual rate to prevent the pot from cracking.Due to the curing process of the clay pot, the plate did discolor slightly after using it but looks are not important to me I was more concerned with functionality.

Serves as a very nice simmer plate for my gas range, which is older and cannot be turned down enough to simmer rice.

Love it! I knew there had to be a product for induction ranges! So sick of some pots and pans that don't fit all the burners. Now I can use all kinds of them. Yes this product is heavy and good quality!

I was trying to boil water in a canner on my induction stovetop but it wouldn't even boil let alone heat enough to create any pressure for the canner.

It works with induction cook top but it takes too long to cook ( for Moroccan dishes like tajine and couscouse it’s bad idea ilI put it more then one hour and still not see any heat 🥴)

I tried it with different pots and they heated very fast.I am happy with it

Very useful when using a stove top espresso maker. It also helps reduce the chances of the contents of a saucepan sticking, even on low heat.
