This is a fabulous product. My hair was looking like straw after repeated colouring with other products but now is wonderfully glossy and healthy.It's not as expensive as it first seems because unless you have very long, thick hair, each carton should be good for two colourings.I agree that it would be wise to opt for a shade lighter in the colour you want, e.g. light golden chestnut rather than light chestnut. If you're looking for long lasting grey coverage, you can achieve that by using a colour from the N (natural) range or mixing two colours together - the one you've chosen with the same colour from the N range.

I have had a severe allergic reaction to this hair dye. I was stupid and skipped the patch test, so I know I have myself to blame in that respect. Just warning everyone as it is life threatening and I have spent all day in hospital with loads of steroids and other Medication to prevent my throat swelling up. My entire face and neck was swollen so I was unrecognisable, and I have a horrendous rash all over my scalp, face and neck! I am a vegan, so fully support the product in that respect, but I could have died today, so please be cautious and do your patch tests!!!

REALLY dark initially, more normal after 2 weeks, also it does not really last so you will have a big change in colour from very dark to expected colour to close to your old colour during the month. Also really, really harsh on my scalp, started flaking which I have not experienced before. Also tried the dark ash blonde one which also turn my hair close to black/very dark brown.Maybe works for some people, but did not do the trick for me at all and would not recommend.

Very easy to mix and apply. It is wallpaper paste consistency. No horrible smell as it is odourless. You can save some for root touch ups if your hair is shortish. I use two bottles for very long hair. I am very excited as I can mix two different colours to have my own unique colour. The sand colour is a nice natural looking colour. I use an old toothbrush to apply to roots then my gloved hands to apply to the long lengths using large dollops in my palms. It does not drip or run once on your head. Make sure you put plenty on the grey areas. This was very easy to rinse off with a shower head hold your head back so none goes into eyes. I no longer dread colouring my own hair as it is so simple to use. The shampoo is great and the conditioner.

Good things : Bought this product in order to cover my grey hairs. Not smelly, doesn't feel heavy on your scalps, and not too sticky to my bathroom floors compared to other products. I only did one layer and the grey hairs have gone.. The color will look like natural black (not shiny) which is good.Can't tell you how long it will stay on because I'm posting this on my second day after using the product.Bad things : the gell consistency is on the thin side but not too thin (1:1 ratio), it will make a bit challenging while applying this product.

Having finished chemotherapy I was desperate to give my hair a lift. I chose Herbatint following research from different sites. The product takes a little longer than other colourants (40 minutes) but was gentle on my fine hair and gave good coverage and coloured all greys. I bought a shade lighter than usual as I had read that the product gives a slightly darker shade than other hair colours. Have washed my hair twice since using the product and my hair shows no signs of fading or lessening shine. Will definitely use again. Would highly recommend!

Impressed! The color is beautiful, looks natural, and it covered not just the grey hairs but also the parts of my hair that was blue. My hair looks like I never had 2 color before.1 issue though: as I really wanted something cruelty free, I had to choose the color by searching for a color pallet on google , these pictures on Amazon are really bad an it’s a shame because it is a really good product! So quality pictures are needed.

I've been using this product for a few years as I do not want to use heavy chemicals when colouring my hair and this fits the bill. Easy to apply and after 40mins my hair is free of grey which lasts me about 8 weeks and leaves my hair in beautiful condition.
