Bought for Xmas for my 13 year old daughter fantastic book

I first heard Richard on the oasis podcast and decided to check out his book on them 'Some might say'. That was a great read and this book is no different. You can tell he is a proper fan and this book takes a deep dive into everything that the reader needs to know. I look forward to the next one!

Another well researched, well written book from the growing collection of this Author. Its clear that Richard Bowes is a true music fan as his passion and attention to detail shine through. Having been alerted to this having read his Oasis and Verve books (well worth checking out) i will certainly be looking out for the next one!

Bought this for my Arctic Monkeys loving daughter for Xmas. She's a reluctant reader but hasn't put it down and enlightens me every day.

Probably the best of the series so far

Brilliant book great read. Very comprehensive.

The author is obviously a proper music fan who really knows his nuts. It reminded me and my son why the Arctic Monkeys were the soundtrack to his youth. I’m not especially keen on The Verve, but I bought that book too, just because I like the way this guy writes.

Richard Bowes is telling the Monkeys' story from the very beginning until the present days. He hasn't met them personally, but obviously he has read a lot of articles in the English speaking music press about the lads from Sheffield and he has watched many of their interviews, so the informations given in this book are well researched. The origin story of every single album is described in detail, and as Alex' masterful lyrics are sometimes a little hard to dig, especially for listeners not living in the UK, Richard interprets their meaning quite convincingly. So this is a truly informative book and worth reading for everyone who wants to know more about this fascinating band.

Regalato a una fan degli Arctic Monkeys è stato molto apprezzato. Non si è fermata davanti alla scrittura in lingua originale e l'ha comunque letto fino alla fine dicendomi che è stato molto bello. È arrivato in perfette condizioni, e dalla reazione mi ritengo soddisfatto dell'acquisto.
