Lovely Cake Tin
This cake tin was exactly what I was looking for, it is the perfect size and easy to clean. The loose bottom makes it really easy to get the cake out of the tin.

You get what you pay for
I am very pleased with this cake tin, the quality is outstanding! It may cost more than others you see on Amazon but i have full trust this will outlast them all. It has been used once so far, making a superb ginerbread cake, and i can confirm the loose bottom is a game changer whilst removing the baked product. The non stick coating really helps with both the cake removal and cleaning afterwards.

Great Quality but Not Fully Leak-Proof
I bought this cake tin to make tres leches, and overall, I’m impressed with the quality. It feels sturdy, well-made, and has a nice weight to it. The non-stick surface works well, and cakes release easily without any trouble. However, I was a little surprised to find that some liquid leaked out from the bottom during baking. It wasn’t a major issue, but if you’re making something with a lot of liquid or batter, it’s worth keeping in mind. I’ll probably line it next time to prevent any mess. Despite this, it’s a solid cake tin that performs well for most baking tasks. I’d still recommend it for standard cakes or bakes that don’t involve a lot of liquid. It’s a great addition to my kitchen and feels like it will last for years.

Quality bakeware, though the loose base arrangement may be problematic for some mixtures
I really like Masterclass bakeware. I’ve got several. This is my most recent acquisition. It is made from thick steel so feels solid and heavy with no concerns about distortion with the heat of the oven – which I’ve had with cheaper tins. I was a bit surprised when I popped the base out, because, although the removeable base is square, the hole in the bottom of the tin is round and the square base just rests there. The base does not locate in the bottom, it just sits there. In some respects this is good because there are no rims or recesses to trap food, so it’s dead easy to clean, but at the same time it does explain why a few reviewers have had problems with thin batters leaking. I needed it for my rich fruit Christmas cake and had no problems with leakage. The mixture stayed exactly where I put it. Mind you, because this cake is in the oven for 3.5 hours I did line the tin with a few layers of greaseproof paper – though I didn’t seal the bottom with this. Despite the length of cooking nothing came to close to burning. The cake released easily. I’m quite happy with this, I think it outperforms cheaper bakeware and is worth the extra investment.

Sturdy tin
A sturdy, heavy tin. Haven't used it much yet so can't comment on the durability.

It's nearly impossible to find a 7" x 7" baking pan in America. Here in LA we have one of the best chef's stores ever to be found called Surfa's. Even there, they do not stock - or have access to - a 7x7" baking pan. This one is VERY substantial. Professional-grade heft. The only issue is that it has a removable bottom. The sides are so high that I doubt that you would be able get whatever you baked out of the pan without a removable bottom but I find it odd that NOWHERE in the description above is there any mention of a removable bottom. You certainly can't see it in the photo. 5-stars anyway. This is the 7x7" baking pan (that you need so you can make all Mary Berry's recipes in her "Baking Bible") that you have been looking for all your baking career.

Haven’t used it yet as it’s for making my Christmas cake in since I lost my mum’s 70+ year old cake tin when I moved house. I am seriously impressed with the quality of this product though so will definitely recommend it
