My back felt better from the very first time I used mine. Don't get me wrong, I did not find it pleasant to lie on it; in fact, although the manufacturer says use 5 min. per day, I only started with 1 minute, and have gradually built-up from there. Although I don't understand all of what the pressure points are about (the bumps on it are rounded nubs that definitely hit some areas of my back that I could feel all the time I used it), I definitely will continue to use, and recommend. Just start slow. And don't let the fact that it looks like a big tire tread dissuade you from using it; it's not dirty, and doesn't harm my clothes. Last thing I would say is start with the "bed" set on its lowest setting. And also, some previous reviewers have mentioned their backs experiencing 'popping'; mine did from the start, and I think it's a good thing. I've had back pains due to injuries my whole adult life, but this really helps..

Liked the firmness and acupuncture points. Have to be careful when using not to stay too long and be careful with placement of spine on devise. Helps stretch the back. Currently not using as am having a more serious back issue and working with Dr. issue not related to use of back stretcher board.

I have purchased and tried 3 different back stretchers and, while all 3 did the job, this one was simply the best. It is the sturdiest I have tried--made with a high grade polymer, not plastic. It has a silicone base pad which keeps it from slipping. The padding on the top surface is more flexible and comfortable, and it does not have the plastic points the others have. It does take strength to assemble, but so did the others. Best of all, it is easily the most reasonably priced.

It did malfunction the first time I used it. I had to add some screws so that it wouldn't continually unclick and dump me on the floor. I have however used it once since fixing it and I think it's a good idea and seems to be helping my lower back herniated disc pain. I only gave it 3 stars due to the design flaw.

OMG!!! I am so so happy to have it! I’ve been using it daily and my back feels almost like new. Even my chiropractor said that my back feels much better and more relaxed. After the day of physical activity my back usually hurts badly and 10 mins on this device and I can move again!

I’ve been having a lot of lower back pain recently from a car accident I was in earlier this year, in addition to not getting adequate rest because I’ve been working a lot. It would feel as though my back would hold all the tension of my day in the muscles. I tried this for the first time tonight and I felt so much relief! I can’t believe it worked so well!

The arch is too wide. For use on the area of the back between the shoulder blades, where I most need it, instead of my spine resting on the support, because it's so wide, my shoulder blades rest on it - loses any benefit to my spine in that region of my back. (And I have fairly wide shoulders, so it would be even worse for someone smaller.). This does me no good for the curvature in my spine in the region between my shoulders blades.

I love how the tread is not hard plastic like some of the other brands. Just arrived this evening, I’m on my couch sitting up and it feels wonderful! I’m not going to use it on the floor until I get accustom to it. I’ll give it a week before using it on the floor So my muscles can stretch slowly.
