Love/Hate
The omnivore feature is a really good one. A torch that can take AA, AAA and CR123 is a real godsend in a survival situation as you never know what batteries you might be able to scrounge so in some ways this is an ideal prepper/bug out bag mini torch. That being said it is not that bright, primarily becaus it runs off only one battery. Build quality is great, very solid as you would expect from Gerber. Shaft is smooth though so not that grippy so use a lanyard! Tail switch is truly awful though which really lets it down. Shame really. Still it's in my bug out bag for the reasons mentioned although it's not my primary EDC torch as I prefer something much brighter.

Great idea, dont miss the point...
This is a good little torch. The point is it can use any one of three different battery types, which makes it invaluable as a back up (preppers take note). What use an AA when your torch takes AAA, or a CR123? This I think this is its unique selling point. Ideal as a car torch, brightness varies with the battery type. Ok, but nothing special, gives average and useful light range and throw. Another reviewer pointed out its fairly slippery, which is fair comment, the body being very smooth. It has a hole for a camera type wrist loop if that helps (Not included), and in my case, a couple of thick rubber bands are all it took, but you dont need to. Lastly, we all know you can buy a torch nowdays for a couple of quid, and if you dont care if its going to work when you need it too, thats great. Pay more, get quality from a decent manufacturer and it will do its job reliably.
