Great product but beware if you are using the spare USB ports with a gaming mouse/keyboard attached.
This is a good KVM on the whole. It switches in a somewhat timely manner and does the job for me. Just a word of warning if you use a gaming keyboard and mouse which has lights on it you may have trouble when using the other USB ports. When I plug a USB stick into a spare USB socket on the front of this device with my keyboard and mouse attached, my keyboard stops responding and needs a restart in order to get it working again. This device does the job I want it for and is great value for money.

Works Well but Ports Only USB 2.0
This KVM switch arrived in a sturdy cardboard box.The box contains:• The KVM unit.• Two 1.5m USB-A to USB-B cables.• IR remote control.• IR remote control receiver (1m cable).• Double sided adhesive pad for IR receiver.• USB-A to Micro-USB cable.• 2 Velcro cable ties.• Instructions. You will need 3 HDMI cables as these are not provided (1 for each computer to the switch and 1 from the switch to your monitor.I use my home monitor and wireless mouse and keyboard for my work laptop when I’m using it at home. This means plugging the monitor into the laptop and swapping the wireless mouse and keyboard dongle over from my home PC to the laptop. When I want to use my home PC I have to swap everything back again. This KVM switch has saved me doing this every time I want to switch computers. I now simply have to press a button on the remote (this can also be done with a button on the unit itself). There are blue LED indicators to show which is the current PC.There is a Micro-USB power cord but if your PC powers its USB ports when in standby (as mine does) this cable isn’t required.Setup is straightforward and took a couple of minutes. It is lower priced than many KVM switches but the USB ports are only USB 2.0, so if you want fast data transfer from a thumb drive this isn’t for you. I do have a pen drive plugged into the unit and this makes swapping files between the two attached computers easy.I haven’t had this switch long enough to comment on its long term durability or performance but I’ll update this review if there’s anything to report. This KVM switch works as it should but no HDMI cables are supplied and the ports are only USB 2.0 and for these reasons I’m knocking off a star.

Great when it works
The media could not be loaded. I'm really happy with this KVM switch for the most part. The switch between PC1 and PC2 is quick and reliably switches HDMI between the two. The remote control works and is extremely simple. The IR extender is extremely helpful, enabling you to keep this switch out of sight. However, the USB functionality was less robust. It worked reliably in my lower rear USB 3.0 port. It did not work at all in my upper USB 2.0 port, nor either of my front two USB 3.0 ports. Really strange, because when it found a port it liked, it worked absolutely fine. And when it met a port it didn't, absolutely nothing. So when it works, it''s great. However, given that I can't work out why it didn't work in some ports but did in others, I can't give it a full recommendation. If you can get it at a reasonable price, it's worth it because it's good when it works and if it doesn't work in your computer for whatever reason, Amazon's return policy is excellent. Worth a punt if the price is right.

GOOD FOR BASIC DEVICES
The media could not be loaded. Well, what can I say?The initial impression was good as the item was delivered promptly as usual thanks to Amazon. The item came well packed and apparently looked like it was made from good quality material. However, after testing it on 2 desktop PCs USING normal keyboards and a GAMING(RAZER MAMBA) mouse the switch failed while clicking the mouse as it would not recognize the click in both PCs!The keyboard works ok but the mouse moves (lagging a bit) and doesn't click!I tried all 4 USB ports but had no luck...However, after testing it with a BASIC/NORMAL mouse it worked just fine!! So after checking the manufacturer description of this item I noticed they mention that it only works with BASIC keyboard and mouse. So, if you are buying this to use it with a fancy/gaming mouse/keyboard there is a chance it won't work as intended.I have to say I was a little bit disappointed by that. I think the description should EMPHASIZE this particular detail so people won't feel misled. As an HDMI switch, it worked just fine! No apparent difference in quality despite the refresh rate limitation.Overall I'm happy with it but it does have its limitations.Thumbs up from me!!

Works Perfectly as Expected
If you want to use 2 devices with one set of peripherals and 1 monitor, this does the job exactly as you would expect. You just connect your Display to the HDMI out port, then the 2 devices to the HDMI inputs and with a USB cable. You then connect DC power and you are ready to go. All these essential ports are on the back which makes it easy to hide the cables, the 4 USB ports are then on the front which makes them easy to access for connecting USB devices. Now, you can change between the 2 devices either by using the button on the switch itself or using the included IR remote.Everything does work well although the technology in this switch uses quite old standards which does give it limitations, I do think this helps with the lower price, however. Firstly, despite having blue USB ports in the images, they are white USB 2.0 ports which is fine for peripherals however for external storage, the speed is limited which could be an issue if transferring large files.Secondly, it is only HDMI 1.4 which means you cannot use it for 4k60hz, this makes it not the best if you wanted to use it with something like an Xbox Series X or RTX 4090 as it will limit the performance and you won't get the most out of your devices. For most people, however, this is a good, affordable product that will do the job.
