Joseph Joseph M-Cuisine Microwave Egg Poacher - Stone/Orange, Orange

This wasn't the cheapest egg poacher on sale, but I have quite a lot of Joseph Joseph stuff and I have always found it to be well designed and solid. I've had this over a month now and use it every day as where I am based I only have a microwave and do not have a cooker or hob. In any event, this is way quicker than poaching in the conventional way, and the egg comes out perfect every time - you just need to adjust the cooking time up or down by a few seconds to suit your personal taste (i.e. how well you like your yolks). Top tip - after you have washed it, just wipe it tiny bit of oil (I use olive oil) around the surface of the inner. It just helps the egg to drop out slightly easier. Actually thinking about buying another one now so that I can do two eggs at the same time.

We followed the instructions and put the egg poacher in our Bosch combi oven and discovered that the egg was still pretty uncooked and slimy - when we cooked it for longer there was an ominous pop/bang and we discovered the contents all over the oven! This was when we found that it was easy to clean and very durable as the poacher was unharmed unlike the interior of the combi oven.....

I've always found poached eggs fiddly to do, and as this was not expensive, I thought it was worth a punt. I followed the advice of another reviewer, and wiped the inside surfaces with oil before use, to act as a release agent. Otherwise I followed the supplied instructions to the letter. I have an 800W microwave, so I microwaved cold water for 60s, added the egg and microwaved for a further 50s. Mine came out perfect, just like the video. A tablespoon helps lift out the poached egg gently.I can't really understand the negative reviews. This thing is pretty foolproof. Make sure you know the wattage of your microwave, and follow the prescribed timings. Do not delay between the two procedures. Most important of all, I believe, is to place the unit centrally on the turntable, so that the egg rotates evenly.

Does not work followed instructions carefully, and all I got was an egg that was not even a quarter cooked. After draining it on a tea strainer i fried it rather than throwing the egg away. IMHO waste of both time and money.

Haven’t managed to produce the perfect poached egg yet using this but I think a bit more trial and error and I won’t be far off. All the eggs have been edible, some a bit over cooked. None have turned out like some of the videos on these reviews, which looked a sloppy mess. Easy to use and clean.

Easy to use product.

This arrived on Saturday and I have had poached eggs on toast every morning since. I simply followed the instructions provided (fill with cold water to line, high power 60secs, drop in egg, high power 50secs) and I get an almost perfect egg. I have only had better poached eggs doing it the old fashioned way which creates a right mess. Nor can I be bothered straining eggs before I poach them a la Nigella to get rid of the watery white. No need with this! You get a lovely little egg, contained white and all you need to do is give it a quick wash and it's ready for the next day. Awesome.

Not working so well for me so far. The water is always cloudy after with bits of egg white mixed in and the timings don’t work for me. Still persevering

Excelente utensilio para cocinar huevos pouché en el microondas en segundos. Quedan perfectos. Se lava fácilmente y está hecho de un material muy resistente. Lo recomiendo mucho. ¡Me encantó! El precio es un poco alto, pero lo bien lo vale este utensilio.

Fonctionne parfaitement en suivant la notice (je ne comprends ceux qui disent le contraire), c'est super facile.Je recommande !

Está bien hecho y lo mejor es lo bien que funciona. Realmente deja los huevos escalfados perfectos, con la yema líquida y la clara con más consistencia, a poco que le cojas los tiempos a tu microhondas. Es fácil de limpiar, y según quieras el huevo un poco más o menos cocido basta con dejarlo en el mismo escalfador un poco más o menos tiempo tras sacarlo del micrhohondas. Muy recomendable.

Primo uovo cucinato seguendo le istruzioni (1 minuto di presriscaldamento dell'acqua e un minuto con l'uovo) perfetto. Non capisco chi non riesce ad utilizzare questo prodotto.

Eier gelingen damit auf Anhieb. Ich mag die Schnelligkeit der Zubereitung. Reinigung ist auch ok. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.
