It is so big—what great value. It keeps all the mess the chickens create out of their water. Remember to turn the nozzle to the off position before filling; don't be like me, wondering what I'm doing wrong. It is heavy when full, but just use a watering can or hose pipe to top it up. The girls love it, too.

Set up was easy, just clip in the 3 legs, place it on a level surface and fill it with water, initially couldn’t work out where to leave the valve position so referred to previous reviews, so with the lid on fully, and the valve fully open it works perfectly. Yes iff it is out in the sun for more than a week or 2 you will get the usual green algae start to build up, but if I expect with my 9 birds I will rinse and refill on a weekly basis anyway which is what I was doing on a daily basis with my previous smaller waterer. They do seem to make a bit of a mess with food from their beaks in the drinking bowl but no more than any other devises or bowls

I needed a drinker that could easily service 30 hens without having to check on it several times a day. As the girls are totally free range and they're often visited by a variety of wildlife, from rabbits to roe deer, who also want water, I wanted a large capacity but liftable solution. I already have a 15 and a 10 litre drinkers but one developed a leak and the other was impossible to fill without using the hosepipe. I saw this and reckoned it would do the job. Bad points: When full it is barely portable unless you are very fit and strong, after all, it does weigh in excess of 33kgs (approx 70lbs) and it only has one relatively small handle on one side. The filling tube, for want of a better word, cannot be fully turned off so it is losing water, albeit slowly, when it is being filled. Good points: Very well made, good quality plastic, not thin and flimsy. Sturdy legs, easily supporting the body any reducing contamination from the soil. Once in situ it can be topped up easily via a watering can, despite water trickling out. I use this method as I don't have running water near my hen-house and I haven't a hose long enough to reach. Despite the box having 'assembly instructions' on it, other than pushing on the legs it came ready for use. Although delivery was quoted as several weeks, it actually came within a few days.

Fabulous product! No balancing an upside-down watering system whilst I fill it up! It lasts ages for my 4 chickens instead of refilling every 2/3 days. Very sturdy! Works perfectly! I haven't needed to clean it yet so my 5 star 'easy to clean' rating could be wrong as I've no idea how easy that will be but so far the base has been extremely easy to keep clean. I just tip it over a little for the dirty water to drain and let wipe the base and then let the fresh water come through. Really glad I bought it :)

Chickens love them I bought two so they never run out of water

Big capacity and easy to top fill, cleaning the inside is decidedly chalenging, and for the first have had issues with the tray, water feeder tube and bottom of the main container freezing, which was very hard to defrost, so have had to use an alternative water dish.

Very good last more than a week when filled

The best invention! Solid, thick, plastic. A simple idea which works for my hens. Saves me running out and filling up their water every couple of days. This will last them a good month at least!! 5 stars for me in terms of product, cost and design very happy!!!

Super abbeveratoio, cercavamo un abbeveratoio che potesse essere ricaricato dall’alto, avendo delle oche usano tanta acqua e risulta scomodo ogni volta riempire da sotto i classici abbeveratoi. Con questo abbiamo trovato la quadra, ha un ottima capienza, e la comodità di riempirlo da sopra è super. Bisogna tenerlo risciacquato per evitare che faccia l’alga dentro, ma è l’unico compromesso per avere la comodità di un abbeveratoio capiente e super funzionale.

L'eau de vos poules reste plus propre même si elle se salit quand même ne serait-ce que par les poules elles même. Pour 3 poules je met 5 litres d'eau dans l'abreuvoir et 2 cuillères à soupe de vinaigre de cidre et elles ont ainsi de l'eau pour 4 à 5 jours. Naturellement il faut nettoyer leur abreuvoir à chaque remplissage.

Great function and large! It os good to secure the legs with some screws!
