Retro nostalgia time!
Very useful, especially as I have a back catalogue of old cassettes that cannot be replaced and need backing up to a better media. Its not about digital remastering, its simply about being able to have a permanent backup of recordings that dont exist anywhere else.Nice and compact with an internal compartment for batteries, this really reminds me of my old personal stereo days!Hooking it up to the recommended, freely available software all you need to do is press play and set off the recording on the computer. It can be used as a normal cassette player too for the purists who want a bit of nostalgia.Built well, although it has a bit of a plasticky feel, it hasnt let me down.Ace little device.

Great vintage sound and excellent value for money.
Bought this to listen to a great big box of cassettes from way back. It's a pretty good player. Sound quality is fine through the hi fi, albeit with a bit of vintage wow and flutter. You can power it off the usb port and I think that makes it perform a bit better than on battery. Haven't tried the MP3 conversion feature.

Looks nice, but quality reflects the price I suppose
Unfortunately the headphone input was faulty so had to jiggle it to get a stereo output in the headphones. The material was ok on the outside, but seemed very flimsy in the inside and where the batteries go. I had to return this item due to the headphone input/output not functioning properly. Cannot advise on software as I didn’t get that far!

It’s good value and plays well
It was straight forward and easy to use, it also has a good sound. Couldn’t tell the tapes were 40 years old at all.

Instructions Not Satisfactory
I bought this to convert tapes to MP3s and burn to disc; exactly what it says I can do. 'CONVERTS TAPE TO MP3 – Our unique tape recorder quickly converts old cassettes to MP3 format via a USB cable. Also works with laptop CD burners.'OK, HOW?I can play the tapes and listen with ear buds, but where are the instructions to convert to MP3?I'm very disappointed!

Cheap but Brilliant
Download the audacity free software from the website plug in the tape player, hit record on audacity software, press play on your tape n there you have it on your laptop in WAV form . Export to your music library in MP3 format n burn to disc or USB stick. I'm over the moon with the results. I've got some old dj mix tapes 15-20 years old and it transferred them near perfect. The softwares great when you get used to it it, cut out dodgy bits n fade in and out at the end of tapes . Added bonus it's so compact you can pop it in your laptop bag n upload tapes anywhere at friends houses etc.The only down side it's so flimsy you feel you have to be really gentle with it and I would gladly pay a bit more if they made it a bit stronger. Bin the cd and headphones because there rubbish. I plugged a speaker into the tape so I could hear what I was playing/recording. All in all does what it says on the tin at a really cheap price. ;)

Reshow Cassette Player - Portable Tape Player...
Just what I needed, works perfectly. The instructions on how to use it with Audacity software are very good, ( I already had this software on my PC, downloaded from the Audacity site, so I didn't need the mini CD to install it).Five minutes in, I was recording my old cassettes, great little machine and great value.

Works but the operating instructions could be better written with a printed version
Works but the operating instructions could be better written with a printed version. Otherwise one is sitting near a laptop with the downloaded instructions.LP's with several tracks, a nuisance, should have a facility to record one track at a time, then one does not need to tsit with the unit

Super pratique

A hum gets recorded.
All recordings have a hum. Tried multiple cassettes. The source does not have that hum. Bought a 3V DC adaptor as well. That too does not help. The product works, though. But you’ll have to clean up the recorded audio and even then you won’t get the quality you seek.

Correct
