nice gadget for surface tablets
works perfect for my surface pro 9 and go 2 tablets, just find a power adapter or a portable battery 20w and above with a c type cable and it is more comfortable to carry around than the original power adapter.

Don't Buy
I just received this and definitely should have listened to others review. Tried with multiple chargers and cables and it just doesn't work. It lights up as soon as you connect, then the light turns off. My device has been connected for an hour and it never charged enough to start. Don't buy!!!

Surface to C adapter
Works great, and it is small.Attach to generic cord for use.

Only works with appropriate output
Once I found a port that had the correct output it worked fine. I will say the device gets substantially hotter than I had ever felt it before when I used the original charger. It is nice not having to use the bulky one included originally with my surface though.

Exactly as described…. Convenient adapter!
The media could not be loaded. My last Microsoft surface laptop charger broke due to the wear and tear of being packed and unpacked so often. I bought a new one, but didn’t want to run into the same problem again.The adapter works with my laptop and fits snugly on a USB-C charger. (iPhone 15 charger) This is way more convenient for traveling around with and also as a back up! I love that the description and pictures are accurate and in no way misleading.

Easy to get sent defective item.
it gets power. the light is on and the type c works for phones buts the charger isnt sending power to the surface. my regular charger works so it isnt the surface. It connected to the charger slot fine it fit with no wiggling. The ite itself is light and feels like plastic but looks fine . Its easy to use and light up well. I think the one I go was just defective.

Works, but flimsy
It works, but it is put together fairly cheap. If you push the USB-C cable in too hard, the whole mechanism comes out the other side.

Works fine
I was able to charge my surface laptop at about the same rate or even faster than my other laptop chargers (they all say slow charging but fully charge within about two hours). You just plug it into the USB-C cable to a 45W or higher port designated for laptops on your charger. Of course, if you plug it in the 3W port, it won't work as your laptop usually needs at least 45W or higher to sufficiently charge (well, basing this off my memory). So make sure your charging port has the 45W or higher to use this adapter for your laptop. I tried multiple USB-C cables and they all seem to work fine so far with this adapter. I did not pay attention if they were fast charging cables but they all seem to work. I am happy I can just take this tiny adapter with me anywhere and attach to my USB-C cable and plug into any 45W charging ports.
