Very good
One of the best looking DMR handheld radios out there imho,Very usable radio.has many useful features,Dual band,Two receivers,A repeater,GPS,APRS,Battery life is good nearly 20hrs standby,I am used to programming so it was a breeze to add my own code plug..I already had a leather case for a broadnet(BN880)as seen in the pictures.it fits perfectly. Had good reports on the quality of the transmitted audio on DMR and Analogue. Boot up image can be changed using other software.Firmware update on vfo a and b was easy and improved functionality and got rid of some bugs.I use this for ham radio,I'm very happy with the GD88.Value for money thanks to a good Friday deal.so saved a few £s.

I Gave Up
Well, I tried. I really wanted these to work as they are really very well built and look great. I bought two of them to add to my collection of radios but after many hours of trying to get the CPS to work, I had to admit defeat. To start with, the programming cable didn't automatically install the driver so I went and did it manually, but who knows whether that actually worked as you never really have a way to tell. Then the software bugged out with a run time error, which, to be fair, the extended manual talks about. Their remedy is to run the install of the software as an administrator, which I did about half a dozen times only to be greeted with the same problem every time. This basically makes the radios useless and therefore they are, sadly, winging their way back. I do wish these big companies could sort this software out properly...I've had this sort of issue so many times sadly.

Do not buy this radio!
Purchased this via another retailer but had to leave a review here. This radio is genuinely terrible. The programming software is a nightmare and it is RIDDLED with bugs (both the programming software and the radio itself).Only consider buying this if you really need the dual VFO monitor or the cross band repeater function for some reason. If you need a DMR radio, get the AnyTone 878, or the Retevis RT-3S (also called the MD-380) both of which are available on amazon, and RT-3S much cheaper.
