Rolson 60967 Drain Rod Set, 12 pc

I had a blockage,and,it went around a corner,so,i threw 2,or 3 buckets of water to flush things out a bit,and sent the end like a cork screw in.When i had cleared the straight run,i put the round disc end on,put 3 buckets down,and pushed the disc to the 90 degree corner.With some repeats of this,i cleared around the bend,without going around it,kind of using water hydraulic power.I got the worst of the sludge out,then put a few more buckets down from the drain,which is after the 90 degree bend.So,a good kit,and you may even do blockages around the bends.A good product.

Did the job quickly and efficiently. Outside has been blocked for a long time and after using a mountain of different deblockers and chemicals over the past few months I finally realised a tool was necessary. So glad I found this, worked a treat and the drain is now completely block free. The only small thing I'd say is it seems a bit excessive to have quite so many lengths of pole. But perhaps I'm just not we'll versed in drain lengths! Mine only needed two lengths before it hit the bottom, so the other eight arent useful for me personally and just take up space. None-the-less, an excellent product and I really recommend!

I have not used yet. It came intime and all that was listed was present. I hope I will not have to use it too soon. However, I'm glad I purchased it so I have it when needed.

Whilst rodding the drain under my house, the rod thread snapped whilst in the drain . I had to make a retrieval claw to get it out... the thread ends are made from poor quality metal that is very thin... absolutely unfit for the purpose. Waste of money! And time. I'll be using these rods as gardening poles from now on....

Was going to hire some, the hire shop wanted £50 deposit and would charge me £30 for the weekend. Ordered them through Amazon for next day delivery. Did the job in 1/2 hour and now have a set for life.

Disliked the way the rods disengaged at the threaded ends when in hard usage. Almost lost rod sections in drain system three times. Limited use only. The thread (male and female) needs to be at least 5mm longer to fully lock properly. I finished off the job using a pressure washer with a drain head on a very long lance section. The rods were effectively useless in this case.

Not a nice job but a satisfying one, my drain was blocked with fat which my crazy mum had poured down the sink after Christmas Dinner, sure enough it hardened and then blocked. Only one concern pretty light and the end bits felt a bit wobbly but good value for what I paid, would have been nice if it included a bag to hold it all together!
