A lovely book to look at, and will use
I wasn't sure what to expect just looking at the image on the cover, but bought it because of the title. It has the Batsford 'suede' feel. (128 pages)The samples inside were much more to my taste, and full of 'I want to do that' images. There are some very interesting surfaces and 3D pieces. Everything is well set out and everything you need to know, but is not a book to jump into, without reading it through - at least the 'tips near the front. It is carefully written and takes a little bit of concentration - each point is numbered. Lots of techniques are discussed, plenty to catch your attention. Excellent list of sources.I have lots of textile books, but I think this adds to them, even though I won't work through it method by method, although some people may want to. However it is an inspirational book and will the thinking 'I could have a go at that one', lots of times do that lots of times. The advice I would give is to go for a 'new' version, a real bargain, and if you have an interest in using a soldering iron- or want can be done with one, this should be in anybody's textile library. (I have never been disappointed with the appearance of a book bought this way.) Add on postage, and it is still not too hard on the pocket.(Would be happy to receive a 'new' copy of any as a present.

Worth buying both books
Lovely book with plenty of ideas, inspiration and good instruction. I was worried that it might duplicate Margaret's earlier book but it contained loads of new ideas with only the general instructions re-covered. It is well worth having both books in your collection.

I was slightly disappointed with this
I was slightly disappointed with this, after having bought Margaret Beals Fusing fabric book and finding it useful for C&G work. I don't know quite what I was expecting, but I think that rather than buying a book because the last one was so good, I wish I could have seen it first..... Others may disagree........

Well worth adding to the crafter's library
A lovely book, full of ideas and inspiration to take one further in the use of a craft soldering iron. Processes are clearly explained and well-illustrated and the book itself is beautifully presented. Well worth adding to the crafter's library.

A great book for experimenting with materials.
This looks to be an excellent book. I have only just received this and have not read it fully, but the bits I have read are really interesting and well explained and illustrated.

Looks a heap of fun.
This book will take some examination. The tendency is to go off at speed to start experimenting, caution tells me to read well first. Looks a heap of fun.
