Maybe a bit of a luxury, but sometimes the little things make a difference that's worth it
Really simple idea and might seem a bit of a luxury or gimmick, but they do a great job. No loosening while playing - you decide how loose you want your cymbals to be by choosing which way up to put the cymbal mate, and then they stay that way however long or hard you play. And at the end of a long day, they make packing down that little bit quicker; no more spinning wing nuts flying off into some dark corner of the stage as you loosen them - these just lift off when you squeeze them. It's surprising just how much the little things make a difference.

Excellent just won't work for heavy cymbal hitters. Need a long thread.
Really excellent but works better with newer stands as they need a long thread shaft to clasp well. I turn mine upside down on short shaft older stands. They don't work well for heavy cymbal hitters they can get pushed off. For me they are superb and it's a joy taking my cymbals on and off really quickly. I play gently and jazzy most of the time.

Useless product for normal drum playing
Seemed robust construction and looked forward to using these. But whilst playing in studio the quick cymbal lugs kept flying off when I hit the cymbals. Adjusted the lugs bug still kept happening. Tried many times since but given up on them now so back to traditional wing nut fixings which don't fly off! Tamar Quick Set Cymbal Mates are waste of money and useless product
