Issues with sticking relay
Very nice looking light, easy to install and set up. However, it uses the same internal control as others on here - Ranex, for example, and already is suffering from a sticking relay. Several times I have gone out in the morning to find the light is on, and has been most of the night. A moderate tap to the side of unit frees the stuck relay contacts and after the programmed time it switches off. It seems to be a fundamental design fault in the control unit. These sort of mains switching devices should be using mercury wetted relays so the contacts don't stick. I'll see how it goes over then next couple of months, but I suspect this will be a return. Two years on and no amount of tapping will free the relay so it's off with the light! I thought I'd attach some photos to show the quality of the 'stainless steel'. My advice, avoid these lights completely.

Bad relays in these. Fixed mine but not without hassle
Having read a lot of the reviews here I thought I'd post mine. Installed the light which is a good looking unit but a little fiddly to attach to the wall plate. Nearly lost my temper but eventually got it on the wall. Turned it on and set the sensor up and all worked great ( although the most range Ive managed from this is only about 3m), Next day I noticed the light was on during the day. After that the light stayed on continuously. None of the adjusters for light level, range or timer did anything. Light on.. constantly. Tried tapping the wall unit as the relay inside was clearly not functioning but no joy. It seems these units have very bad relays which stick. Sometimes straight away, sometimes after 24 hrs like mine or maybe a little later but they aren't very good. I managed to fix mine by drilling a little hole in the black relay box and then putting a (very) small squirt of WD40 into the hole and then sealing it again with insulating tape. The light now responds correctly again as the relay is lubricated. This is far from ideal and not a recommended fix. The light has been working for the last three weeks now but it remains to be seen how long my bodge fix will last. Shame as the fitting itself is quite good looking and the up/down wall splash light is very effective. I would think twice about getting one of these unless you are willing to fiddle about with it when, and if it fails.

Think its starting to fail.
Initially this was brilliant. Two GU10 LED lamps fitted and it looks great. However recently the light comes on as I approach, but when it goes off it seems to flash like a lighthouse on amphetamine getting quicker and quicker over about 15 seconds then it finally goes off. Not sure if the sensor is failing. The light however looks good and has lasted well outside the front of my house. For the price, if it does fail I may well buy another so its not all bad.

WORST LIGHT EVER!!
These are a nightmare to work with. Too fiddly, too tight to fit on the wall whilst still looking good. I have two on my porch and one of them doesn’t turn off once it comes on, it’s on throughout the night, sometimes I find it is still on the following morning at which point I have to turn the mains power off for it to reset the sensor, this happens pretty much every other day. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DONT BUY THESE!

It looks fantastic but it continuously fills with rain water
It looks fantastic but it continuously fills with rain water...... the bulbs get wet & blow or start to flicker, I have spend double what I paid for it on replacing the bulbs, as my thoughts was I had not screwed it together properly, but I ask a friend who is a retired electrician, & still it fills with rain water, I guess it would be fine in a covered porch, or if it had a drain hole........ I have taken it down & dumped it, as at some point it might cause a fire.

Looks good though, and the motion sensor is good but ...
Bought these so that my electrician can install it on the retaining walls in the garden, and yes it does the job and lights the path. However, it has rusted a bit on the screws (it is supposed to be an outdoor wall light!) within 3 months of using, so I am worried it is not going to last. Looks good though, and the motion sensor is good but has a short range of approximately 5-10m.

Nice looking lamp
A good looking exterior light. This is the second one that I have purchased, the first failed after 18 months with what I believe to be a faulty PIR Control unit.It is a bit tight to make the connections and I smeared silicone sealant around the cable entry point as a "belt and braces" approach on the original which worked in that there were no signs of damp or water ingress when I removed the original.

OK but could be better!
Fair quality for the price. Installation made difficult by the postioning of the cable connection block. The lux control (which determines if the unit is triggered in dayligtht or not) does not work, it just spins around and has no effect.
