Was looking for Read Write Inc resources to support home learning as it is the same scheme as used in school. This is a great little set, comes with flash cards, small wall posters, wipe clean handwriting sheet with whiteboard marker and handwriting practice book. Has been really useful to support my 4 year olds learning. Also includes parents guide explaining how to teach in stages which is great

Bought to use alongside the school learning as my daughter had started reception and was struggling with her sound. She loved this! The posters are great and we had them up on the wall. She didn’t use the practice book much but liked the wipe cheap book. Worth the money if your little one is struggling with the sounds, but is only useful alongside the videos being taught in school.

Good but basic

Very nice instructions on how to teach your child to read the sounds and supplement what your child is learning at school. The kit includes: - Phonics flashcards and instructions on how to use them; - The Handwriting book provides the mnemonic (a memorable phrase) that helps kids remember how to write the letters; - Wipe-clean sheet and pen to practice writing the letters; - Bedroom frieze shows picture prompts to remember the sounds and is a great supplement to the rest of the materials in the kit; - Parent handbook that gives detailed explanation of how to use the resources in the kit. I strongly recommend that you buy the kit at the beginning of the school year. That ensures that you will be able to help your kit if they miss school or need additional support to remember the sounds. I've purchased the kit for my 5-year-old the second year (when they were learning the set 2 sounds) and we were able to review the material in about 4 weeks.
