I bought a leg of serrano ham for Christmas and this stand was just the job to hold it in place for slicing. The stand is made of wood, reasonably heavy and very sturdy and held the leg in place perfectly for slicing. No slipping or sliding around. It comes flat packed in a neat box and is easily assembled (tho no assembly instructions inside the box). The knife did the job of slicing and is fairly sharp but could, maybe, be a little sharper. We used this for the first time on Christmas Day and it looked great on the kitchen table. Would definitely recommend this product.

Bought for a special Christmas party. Arrived two days earlier than forecast, which was a relief. It was of very good quality and whilst there were no instructions, it was simplicity itself to put together. It did exactly 'what it said on the tin' and secured a 7kg Serrano ham firmly in place for carving, with ease. It is just a pity that the ham did not live up to expectations (not bought from the same supplier)! The knife was sharp and flexible enough to produce the characteristic thin slices. Supplier highly recommended and would certainly deal with them again.

It’s pretty easy to assemble, though adding some washers under some of the assembly screws improved it. Sturdy, reasonably heavy - which it needs to be.The screw clamp that holds the leg is a bit iffy, difficult to get it to hold the leg properly. I think this can be remedied quite easily with a bit of shaped wood placed between the leg and the bottom of the clamp.But considering it’s modest cost, it’s pretty good.

This was an excellent buy! Great value but it looks expensive, it was a very impressive centrepiece of a recent birthday party. It's strong and sturdy, beautiful as well as functional, and the knife it comes with was perfect for the ham (and we didn't actually have a suitable knife, so that was pretty essential!). I would wholeheartedly recommend it (now I just need to figure out what to do with all the leftover ham I have!).

Well built, solid, attractive wood and easy to assemble. Despite the positive reviews that prompted me to buy this stand, it was better than I had expected. The knife is perfect and sharp, but would pay more to have a more solid handle. However for the price, it is a great overall package. Service was top notch and very quick. Easy to give this seller 5 stars. Definitely would recommend.

I wasn't quite sure which stand to buy as there is plenty of choice on Amazon. I trusted the huge amount of positive comments and opted for this specific item. I was expecting a cheap product possibly showing defects or assembly issues (misalignment of holes as a minimum). Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality finishing and overall sturdiness of the stand once assembled. The serrano ham sits in it perfectly and the whole thing is in constant use. The knife is also very good quality and we are using it without any problem. We just need to perfect our slicing skills! We are also considering it to be a very good option for future presents. Highly recommended.
