I have a pretty standard sink built in the last 50 years and this fit perfectly. The rubber is soft enough and thin on the edges so food stuffs flow right into the trap. The cap works great as well and held water for an entire day. The base is sturdy and a good whack in a compost tin cleans it right up. I haven't seen any damage in months even with chaotic cleaning and sharp knives. Well worth it and better than any metal traps I've tried.

I loved these strainers. They do fit and stop up as described. They are flexible and easy to clean. Water drains quickly when the hard stopper plug is removed. Will buy again when these quit working, since they are rubber, they will have to be replaced eventually.

Plug feature works 100%. Nicely made. Plug holds water in easily. Fits drain nicely however the ridge of the rim of drainage basket doesn’t slant downward toward the drain a lot. Therefore in my sink (which has terrible draining angle-sink has poor design) so water and debris linger around the outside edge of basket. It could just be the terrible drainage angle of my sink tho.

I replaced a different style silicone strainer that wore out after a few yrs. Stuff got under the edges and it'sstopper didn't hold water. I've had this for 3wks and I'm impressed. The edges suction nicely to the sink with no chance of food getting under it. The stopper hold water in for hrs. The only minor issue is emptying it. it's a little difficult to get the stuff out of the lower edge.

We've been using this for a week and have no issues- it looks and works great. Some have complained that the strainer prevents water from fully draining because it comes slightly raised, however just some hot tap water and a little shaping with the fingers flattened ours out such that it sits quite flat and water drains out very well. Our house came with a black, enameled cast iron sink and standard silver metal drain + strainer that stood out too much (silver on black). I've tried a couple of name-brand, black metal strainers and both quickly have the black paint chipping away. This FLEX STRAINER is a great solution that looks like it will stand up well, it's won't suffer from black finish falling off like the metal ones, and the snap-in place drain plug has worked well for us, too.

These look good and do their job, however they don’t allow the very last bit of water to drain out of the sink. The first day I got them , I loved them, fit the sink perfectly, but when I washed dishes that night, the next morning there was a bit of standing water in the sink and it was gross after being there all night. I wouldn’t buy them again.

These replaced a pair of cheap metal baskets strainers (all you can find nowadays) which broke after only one year. After nearly two years of use, these rubber & plastic strainers still function perfectly. Simple to use, quiet, non-marking on porcelain enamel sinks, easy to clean and durable...these are a brilliant alternative to metal strainers. Highly recommended!

I bought this to cover the silver chrome drain fixture in my laundry room. The old chrome faucet was leaking, so I finally replaced it, but I chose a matte black faucet to match the rest of the hardware. But changing out the drain and strainer was going to be a serious pain - so thought I'd try this. It looks great! It fits perfectly and is easily removed for cleaning, etc. You really can't tell that it's not a full install. I'm so happy I found this. Such an inexpensive and easy fix! Highly recommend, and would buy it again in an instant.

I really wasn't sure about these when I bought them. And I have to admit that the first couple of times I used them to wash dishes, I noticed that they didn't really hold the water in. But it was a slow leak and I could certainly get my dishes done without having to add much, if any, additional water. However, I found that after a few uses ... all of a sudden it was absolutely holding the water in! So maybe the silicon just needs a bit of time or something to mould to the sink. Whatever the reason, they work beautifully now and I am so happy I bought them! They are easy to get out and slap them against the compost pail to empty the contents from the strainer. Easy to put the stopper in and get it out. Just love them!
