Finally a small vacuum sealer that works. I use a lot of homemade canned, dehydrated and freeze dried food. My kitchen is very small and having to haul out a big food saver all the time is annoying. This is small enough I can leave on my counter to use daily. It is so simple to use. All I have to do is place it over the lid and hit a button. It keeps everything in the jar air tight so the humidity doesn’t get to my food. I know when I open my jar it is still fresh good quality food inside. It’s simple to clean. I wipe it down with a cloth to keep it clean for my next use.

I purchased this vacuum jar sealer as an experiment for storing freeze-dried strawberries. I had freeze dried some in the past which had turned soft after a couple of months in some inexpensive, windowed thin mylar bags. After researching the experiences of other freeze drying folks I discovered that strawberry seeds can retain a minute amount of moisture and must have extra dry time (which I had done), longer term storage can't be in thin mylar windowed bags, that is IS permissible and even strongly suggested to use not only an oxygen absorber in the storage receptacle, but also food safe silica packets, AND, that many people were storing much of their freeze dried fruit in mason jars, with the silica, with the oxygen absorbers, AND vacuum packed with a device like this.My husband purchased two flats of strawberries about the time this came in the mail, which I freeze dried and vacuumed into jars with the suggested packets. That was in March. Yesterday (May 27th) I opened a jar and they were still fresh and crispy. The color was still great (I've been keeping them in a storage room with the light off). So far this is working out great!I love the fact that I can open the jar, get what I want out, and then reseal it immediately - so convenient and useful!I also have used it to seal other items in jars to keep fresh - dried beans, rice, candied ginger - the possibilities are endless. My husband is impressed.It came partially charged. Complete charging doesn't take very long. Vacuum sealing a case of jars did take its toll on the battery though. I *might* have left it vacuuming for longer than necessary on many or most of the jars on my first use, which *may* have caused the amount of battery drain that occurred.At any rate, it is a handy little gadget to have. I was about to ditch a BUNCH of jars until I got this and began to explore its potential. Recommended!

Pro - Sealing is quick and easy and I've used both wide mouth and regular mouth jars that have kept food fresh! Avocado sealed stays fresh and doesn't brown and that was a game changer because it proves what it's doing to all sealed foods! It stays charged for a number of seals before getting low and charges up pretty quickly. Con - The regular mouth silicone seal needed cleaning and I've tried numerous times to get the tabs to fit into place flat and they won't go back in properly. I've contacted the company for help and their suggestions is what I've tried. Unfortunately this all happened after the return date expired or I'd return it. It works GREAT but the seal not sealing properly makes the regular size unusable.

This has been a great little tool ! It is super easy to use and seals my jars of freeze dried food very effectively. I also appreciate that you can use both wide mouth or narrow mouth lids . I haven’t had any issues of the seal breaking when removing the device from the jar/lid which I have heard that other brands were causing.

This jar sealer is a wonderful tool to easily and securely seal mason jars. It works right out of the box. You can easily vacuum seal 15 or more jars between recharging. the adapter is easy to remove to seal wide mouth jars. It's small size makes it easy to store when not in use.

Game changer! I never knew if my hand tightened lids were tight enough for during canning process or just when I tighten for shelf stable pickling. Only an on/off switch, no programming required. This takes the guess work away. Its timed seal function automatically beeps and turns off when the jar is properly securely sealed. USB Charged, one charge lasted for hours. Inner attachment works for both wide mouth and regular sized jar lids. Does not have an attachment for mini jars or non standard mason lids. Easy clean much.like a can opener. It's actually a quiet device. I turned the volume up so that the beep hiss release can be heard when the lid seal is complete. Directions are simple and the timing appears to be preset (automatic) based on the size lid. It does tell you minimum hold time to seal is in the 90 to 98 second range. You may have to initially press down on larger lids until about mid seal. Photos are of the different sized jars/lids that I used from just a reused pasta ssuce jar lid, & large to small lids fits. Overall. So far, I LOVE IT. Its not the sturdiest gadget, but it works, and works well. At this price, could definitely buy one or more. Yes! Buy it.

This is amazing!! Seals jars in a minute or so, sealer is quiet and so easy to use. doesn't take up much space at all-- So nice to be able to keep things fresh without needing to freeze them. Fruit lasts SO long!! Really glad I found this.
