Knipex's pliers wrenches aren't cheap, but then again again they're also so useful for so many things that it's possible they could be the cheapest good quality tools you can buy. They work as a ratchet-camming spanner, adjustable spanner (crescent wrench), flat jawed parallel pliers, miniature vice, hand-held clamp... the list goes on. These quickly replace most standard spanners, and three sizes cover pretty much everything I encounter as a mobile bicycle mechanic, and the same for general use at home when working on cars or other machinery. If you've never used them then try the 175mm version, and don't bother with the moulded grip version as they're actually not as comfortable to use (and take up more space in your toolbox).

They seem a little fiddly to use at first, but when you use them for tightening up plastic glands, bending little bits of metal to shape, holding things steady... that are just great. Firm even pressure across the length of the jaw. This size is great for 20-25mm Stuffing Glands. I may well get a couple sizes larger as well!

It might just be in contrast to Cresent wrenches which are miserable to use. Even compared to the old parellel jaw king D's it's better the narrow jaw is able to sneak into some awkward places. Like the nut above the rubber foot on an overly tight washing machine levelling leg. Or to rapidly walk the worm gear back enough to scrub out the rusted solid crescent wrench it's replacing. Surprisingly comfy handles, I think the 180 seems to be a good general purpose size to get a lot of use out of this. Still getting the hang of the adjuster but that's just because I'm old. Super useful tool that can replace a whole spanner kit for a lit of applications. Not all but most. I'd certainly grab this to tighten or loosen a bolt before hauling in the tub of spanners and sockets. Excellent tool well worth the money. Definitely deserves it's place in the tool bag even if it can't replace everything a full set of spanners in the van could.

Another Knipex direct hit! Quality, design, innovation, it's all here. Owning and using most of the decent multi adjustable wrenches previous to this, I can categorically state that this is the best, by far. Particularly for working on unknown fittings, this really hits the spot. It adjusts quickly to size and just does not slip or open, so the work piece isn't damaged. It really does consign the traditional screw adjustable to the junk pile, where it belongs! Knipex know how to make a tool so materials, and manufacturing quality are there with the best. Not cheap but indispensable for the serious mechanic in any field. I'll be getting the next size down too, as although this one does cover alot of sizes, it's a little bulky for the smaller stuff. Highly recommended.

Deliver time to Brunei Darussalam was faster than expected. Appreciate that from Amazon and DHL. Item received in sharp condition. Just a minor dent but not a big deal. KNIPEX, do buy one. Compre estas para probar y son muy pequeñas, sirven para roscas de cosas pequeñas pero para la capacidad que abre te costará mucho aflojar por lo que compre las de 250mm y muy satisfecho con ambas para el uso que debe cada una.
