SLPs Dream
I am using this in a Kindergarten classroom with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. My SLPs push into my room. This is a great center/station we can facilitate, or to have the kids match based on the provided cards. The kids LOVE them!

Perfect for word learning. Love this! Quality and price are great.
The media could not be loaded. Just an adorable game for those kids who love words or for parents who are teaching their toddlers to read. Great buy!!!

Practical AND Fun!
I'm an elementary teacher with many years of teaching. My ADHD granddaughter will be tutored this summer by me. She loves this activity. I have her in CVC word books and have her spell words that she'll encounter BEFORE she reads. This game has a good assortment of CVC words for each short vowel and not words that almost fit the pattern (buy, for, key, etc.)I plan on creating more cards that add two consonants later (led...sled, rag...drag.) This could be used later to learn to spell two or three letter Dolch words. I just wish there are more pencils instead of reusing the backs of the game pieces. Another improvement - add another pencil holder for the five vowels. It's great for tutoring, centers or aides with very small groups.I couldn't locate my granddaughter the others day. I found her using the cards, spelling, then checking with the "spell check" on the back. She loves the tactile spelling with immediate reward. I'm glad I bought it!

Made helpuful chart to use this item! Pls check
Before you buy or return, pls read through. This item does not come with any guide or instruction booklet so it might make you wonder if you recieve incomplete product.First, this item icludes*Red vowel wooden pencils x 5*Blue consonant wooden pencils x 18*Short vowel "a" cvc cards x 11*Shorr vowel "e" cvc cards x 9*Short vowel "i" cvc cards x 10*Short vowel "o" cvc card x 10*Short vowel "u" cvc card x 10*Wooden pencil holder x 2*Storage bag x1Second, I want you to know this product does not include letter "q" and "y"Wooden pencils are not for making alphabet a through z. They are for to make CVC words that shown on the cards. Since cvc cards don't have any words include "q" and "y" you don't need them. (But I understand, my 4yrs old wanted to line up complete alphabet)Third, Blue consonat pencils show two different letters front and back. This is very tricky for children and parents to find a right letter.Red vowel pencils have exact same letters front and back. I made a hand written chart to help me to find a letter. This chart can help you also. For example, if you're looking for letter "b" pencil and don't see it, grab letter "f" and turn it aroud. You'll see it.Fourth, CVC cards are really helpful. Each short vowel a, e, i, o, u cards have it's own color. a is red cards, e is yellow, i is green, o is orange, u is blue.I prepared 5 bags to store according to its color.Fifth, pencils falling, rollingPencils stand on its own, but soon my 4yrs old try to find a letter, her little hands bump into pencils and they're like bowling pins! I'm planning to use plastic organizer for medicine and jewelry to keep them not rolling around. Clay should work too to keep them stand still (might transfer the color to wood).I believe that's all I can say. Hope this help you.Thank you for reading.
