Although many PC components create noise in themselves; this can be made much worse when components are installed into a PC case; and their noise can become amplified by vibration of the metal onto which the component is mounted. These soft silicone general-purpose washers seek to reduce or eliminate this vibration effect; which often manifests itself as a deep; annoying rumbling sound.Simply put one washer between the device and the metal panel onto which it is mounted; then put another washer onto the screw so it sits under the screw head; then screw the device into place. The silicone washers will sit on either side of the metal panel; and significantly reduce the amplified vibrational noise from the fan; drive or power supply. Easy!The washers are available in retail packs of 8 and OEM packs of 1000. 8 washers are needed to mount one fan/PSU/HDD/ODD; or 1000 washers can be used to mount 125 devices. If you decide to use only 4 washers per device; they will go twice as far; but the sound deadening effect may be lessened.

Awesome To Quieten Down Those Loud Fans!
I brought this to try to make my computer fans more silent and to reduce vibrations and it worked like a dream!You get 8 of these which means you can reduce the noise of 2 fans, or you have some spares if you only need to do one.The quality of them is good, they are tough and dont break easily...Overall i would highly recommend these Anti Vibration Mounts!

It arrived after several days in terrible packaging (literally no packet, just a folded piece of cardboard and some sellotape), and proceeded to not work. I even put two washers on each screw and heard absolutely no difference. This product is a complete waste of money.

I bought these when I had visions of using bolts to secure the case fans in my PC. However, I then saw the Akasa AK-MX003 fixings and used those because I felt that eliminating the rigidity of the solid bolt was another step in the right direction. No doubt I shall find an appropriate use for them elsewhere.

I thought these were the ones that stick themselves into the actual hole providing rubber on both sides but it does say washers so.. yeah. also cheaper from a retail shop (maplins if you're in the UK) get more of them.

Would definitely recommend if you're in to running as cool a PC ...
Bought two packets of these and attached them to any screw i could find, can't believe the difference it has made.With fans at 100% (3 case, 2 GPU and 1 CPU) all i can hear now is the wind generated absolutely no rattle whatsoever.Would definitely recommend if you're in to running as cool a PC as possible but don't want any unnecessary noise

Work like a charm to dampen sound
Work like a charm FOR THEIR PURPOSE!Please note that these are not very solid, so you can't use them for the purpose of tightening very heavy equipment or such. But they are not intended to be used in that manner anyway. They are nice and rubbery, so they dampen vibrations well!
