Great Game
Been looking for an updated version to play with our grown up children, this fits the bill perfectly. Can’t wait for Christmas night now!

Nostalgia
I have fond memories of playing the original Genus Edition of this game with my family over Christmas and decided that this year we would get an updated version - mainly because I have no idea where the original version is anymore, I haven't seen it for about 15 years but it must be in the house somewhere...Delivery was within 23 hours of making the purchase so that made me happy and I could not wait to get playing it. Unfortunately my 26 year old son and husband had other ideas so I had to suffer through a couple of other games first but it was well worth the wait.A good range of questions in categories that are slightly different to the original. The board has been updated too with the main category hubs now having tiny illustrations instead of a solid colour that represent the theme of that category. Really they are all general knowledge but some are WAY harder then others and some severe guessing went on. Game play lasted about an hour with the 3 of us - but that could have been due to the other half's lucky rolling to keep landing on the hubs. The pie pieces have been redesigned and no longer form a flat piece, instead a completed wheel now has a pleasant rounded look to it and no more shaking and tapping to get a stuck piece out when you want to play as your favourite colour again. There is a better distinction between the category colours on the revamped board too which meant we argued less about whether it was orange or brown that we were on (always a problem on the original under orangey hued domestic lightbulbs). The inclusion of a timer is a good idea but not one that we utilised during the game. The timer lasts for around 30 seconds and we will no doubt use it for other times games rather than this one.If you like quiz games then you really can't go wrong with this one for the slightly older family or a gathering of friends.

Trivial Pursuit as good as ever
Equally as good as 1980s original. Didn't find questions too American. Very balanced in fact. 4 star product and should be in every home. The only quibbles I had were in the design of the board itself - the colour coding is very confusing. Colours could be donated by letters for example. If you are colour blind or visually impaired this is a hard game to play. The inclusion of an electronic timer is unnecessary. And some of the questions from 2009 have already dated. But I love this game. Recommend it to purchase.

Great fun!
Lots of people have complained that the questions were too American but I thought the questions were great, especially when compared to the pre-historic version we had before. I now stand a good chance in a game as most of the people the sports and entertainment questions are about are actually still alive. Now I can thrash my dad instead of the other way around. Not enough questions is a fair criticism, we went through them in about 4 games. The board is literally an updated version of the Genus edition, no fancy additions if you liked the old format. The cheeses have easy handle tabs now too so you can actually get them in and out of the container.

Fun & challenging
Excellent game! Hours of fun. Haven't used the timer yet (didn't have AAA batteries to hand). The instructions didn't explain what happens if you land in the middle (do you get to choose a colour or does the other team/player choose a colour for you?). The questions are varied in difficulty and make for some good fun. Some answers actually provide a little extra trivia. The card holders indicate from where to pick a card to ask a question (question mark) and where to place the card when done (exclamation point). I absolutely love this game!

Old questions
I was surprised that the questions were written in 2009. I didn’t find this info before I bought the game. I would have expected this to be a newer edition. Many questions of TV series that are no more relevant or younger people would not have heard of and. Also it seems to be made in Australia which shows in the questions. Lots of questions on rugby and issues that are not relevant in Europe.
