The only effective option!
After trying various humane options including highly rated vibrating lawn spikes without any success and 60+ mole hills in a week I purchased these 5 traps. Placing in the tunnels (once I set them right!) was easy and quick to do. 24hrs later and one had gone off already! 1 mole caught. Now been 2 weeks since, and not 1 mole hill since! Seems he was an active little begger!! Very effective, good quality, simple and the only option that worked.

Caught two moles easily

Mixed feelings as one of the traps has broken
Initially I thought these were a good sturdy product but one has just broken at a weak joint! Having said that I have actually caught 1 mole but it appears there's more than one! So we'll see how the other 4 traps work.

Really easy to use
These are so much easier to use than original traps. I’ve had to mark them down as I’ve not been able to catch a mole despite many, many mole hills and watching lots of YouTube videos on how to set them in a run. Will keep trying!

A godsend!
5 sturdy traps received. Set all 5 up in active hills. Think the first 24hrs must have disturbed the mole/s as I had weeks of waking up to more hills each morning that there was barely a patch of undisturbed grass. Within 48hrs... SNAP! A mole caught in an active hill. A sigh of relief (and also guilt) but there's SO much damage caused at an expense the set of 5 were well worth the money. The grass is just awful, like a labyrinth under foot and caves in everywhere to the tunnels, so the sooner you invest in these the better for your lawn. Been advised to Bury the dead mole back deep in its tunnel as they're territorial?! So this will deter other moles moving in. Not keen on the idea but I'll do whatever it takes. Fingers crossed.

Finally got them!......
After 4 months of the blighters digging up our garden and wrecking our lawn we finally resorted to these traps. We tried all the humane stuff first like the solar deterrents but to no avail. These were pretty effective. There is a knack to setting them up. Our tips: - Watch some youtube videos - Wear your gardening gloves so that you don't touch the metal and contaminate with human scent. - ' Marinate' them in molehill soil so that you camouflage their scent. - Use a metal kebab skewer around a fresh molehill to detect a tunnel. There's an art to this. Usually you'll feel resistance, then give then resistance again as the skewer goes through the roof, enters the cavity and then hits the floor - Buy lots of traps. In the end we had 12 of them on the go at any time. - The mole will move when he detects something's not right so be prepared to look for new hills and then plant new traps around these. - Carefully cut open the roof of the tunnel without disturbing it. We used a sharp trowel. - Set the trap and ensure it's at the right height in the tunnel i.e. resting on the floor of the tunnel - Ensure that the jaws of the trap have no soil blocking them - Cover the hole in the roof of the tunnel with molehill dirt and grass - Be prepared to leave the traps for weeks. - Look out for them when you're cutting the grass as they'll wreck your mower - Be prepared to feel a bit sad when you're successful as they are cute.

Quick-kill, humane and effective when used in numbers.
These are fantastic. As a tool for mole-catching, they certainly do the business. Spring is nice and tight so once the trap is set correctly, any disturbance and the trap is sprung. They are humane and almost certainly quick-kill in their nature. The tricky part is perfecting how and where to use them. I suggest searching a few videos on YouTube, you’ll soon have the hang of finding the best spots to place them. My tip - buy several. I have 10 of these now. We have nearly 3acres of land and last summer had a lot of mole activity. According to where you read, moles are solitary and you won’t find many together. Well we caught well over 10 moles using these traps over a 2/3month period. Finally, after constant use I did find these siezed up a little. But a little WD-40 and we’re back catching moles this year.

Most ok but one trap broken/ill made
One of the traps is missing lip on setting mechanism so it won't work. Other 4 are fine though.

Consigliate

Le ho regalate a natale a mio cognato che era disperato per i cumuli di terra nel suo prato provocati dalle talpe. Dopo 3giorni con queste trappole ne ha già catturate 2.

Ottimo se ben messe risultato assicurato 3 catture in 10 gg. Con altri metodi ( tunnel e accrocchi vari ) 2 in sei mesi . Consigliato
