Gray-Nicolls 5801400 Deluxe Cricket Bat Mallet

This product got the job done when knocking in my Gray Nicolls bat.

These are great knockers

I hit a cricket bat with it, and it made a sound like 2 bits of wood being hit together. To pass the time I also thought of all the people I didn't like whilst hitting things with a heavy mallet. I'm not 100 percent sure this is good for my mental health.

Within 5 taps of the mallet, the head had become detached from the handle. The handle is quite a loose fit to the head and insufficient glue had been used in the manufacture of the item. It’s obviously a common problem if you read the reviews, and if the supplier had even a basic interest in the quality of their products they must be aware of the issues.

Finishing could have been better

My partner was able to knock his new cricket bat in perfectly with this mallet - though be warned, it is very loud! Though it will not be needed for a cricket bat for another five years or so, it is performing well as a chicken mallet in the kitchen in the meantime!

Really like this product good weight is well as to knock the bat wight is important, handle can be little more more longer but still works fine.

The mallet was a bit more pricey then others but has good weight to it so makes knocking in easier, however after about 3000 hits the handle came loose of the mallet, I did force it back in it's ok for a while then it starts to come lose again, I guess you'll need wood glue to permanently keep it in place ,, overall knocking in was very effective with this type of mallet & weight

It is what I ordered. Totally happy with the product. Knocked my new bat and it's effortless. I did not have to put much effort in it the mallet does it for you.

Product quality is very good.

Bought it to use as a gavel - if this doesn't get their attention, call 911 - they're comatose or dead!

Excellent product.

Looks fake, it broke after one day of knocking.
