Nice
I saw someone raving about this on Tik-Tok, and I'm easily influenced, so... 😏 I'm a fan of Cocoa Butter anyway, so wanted to try it. The first thing I would say is that this doesn't have the lovely smell of Palmers, but that doesn't bother me too much. It's very thick and you'll need a nail brush to get it out from under your nails, so maybe not convenient for travel/taking to the gym. It's also quite hard, so warm it up in your hands before slathering it on.It is a great moisturiser though. It does 'sit' on your skin, so don't get dressed straight away, if time allows. Once it's soaked in, it does make your skin feel lovely. The thing I like best about it is it really makes your tattoos (if you have them) 'pop.' Worth the somewhat high maintenance application.

Unpleasant rubbery smell,gritty and greasy
The first thing that struck me about this product was the horrible chemical smell. Like rubber with a hint of cocoa. Definitely doesn't smell like Palmers! Next it was the texture. It's quite gritty, although that could be because it's less processed than other butters to be fair. In terms of the moisturising properties, it's OK. Easy enough to apply and spread. Very greasy initially and just sits on the skin. It took a good 20 mins for it to absorb enough for me to be able to get dressed. The nasty smell lingered on my skin for the rest of the day though. The reason I purchased it was because of the reviews claiming it was as good as Palmers, but obviously much better value. Also,I try to reduce my consumption of single use plastic as much as possible, so I was hoping that a larger tub would last longer and thus be a more sustainable option. However,I wish I had just bought Palmers! This is nasty stuff! I was going to give it 2 stars, but went down to 1 because the smell really is horrid.

Hard in container, needs body heat to melt
While very moisturising,it’s hard in the container and you need to use body heat to get enough out of it.It’s good for any part of the body and has helped me with the cold weather,so my skin doesn’t break. The scent is a very pleasant cocoa smell, and when I layer it with perfumes it makes them last longer.I would say it’s not ideal for warm weather though, because my skin feels greasy then.It was very good value for money at time of purchase. 11£ for 400 grams.
