MXR '74 Vintage Phase 90

Without a doubt the best of all Phasers you can buy warm subtle and no noticeable tone suck seeing as its not truebypass switching - you wont be dissapointed!

Excellent reissue in terms of quality of production and the sound it produces. No doubt other pedal give a wider range of sounds but if you missed out on buying an original or need to replace an original and want "that sound" (e.g. a 60s/70s/80s cover band) this does the business.

Great quality but does not work with a power plug only battery. Hence I returned it. The script however if the improved version that works on both 9v battery and power plug.

This script/custom phase 90 is a copy of the original pedals. It's powered by battery only. These have a subtle vintage phase sound, they are not as aggressive as other phases. I find them much more usable because if that I love them and would recommend them.

Keep in mind that this is battery powered only! Leaving patch cables plugged in will drain the battery. This is nonetheless a top quality pedal.

For about 5 seconds I am Dave Gilmour! Great sound and remember to unplug the leads as it drains the 9v battery, no external power jack point with this one.

Amazing pedal. It has 'that' sound you've heard on countless recordings over the years. Yes, there is the issue with no DC power jack but don't let that put you off. This is easily overcome if you have a pedalboard with an adaptor lead for the PP3 battery.

Bel pedale, interviene sul suono iodo elegante, l'effetto c'è ma non esagera, bello per funk, psycjedelia, molto seventies, il problema è che non è true bypass, difficile escluderlo quando non lo vuoi!

Excelente pedal, simple y útil para canciones de Pink Floyd o Van Halen, y aún así tiene mucho que ofrecer. Única desventaja es que solo se puede usar con una batería de 9v. Independientemente de ello este pedal es un most en mi setup. Le pongo 4 estrellas porque el paquete llegó un poco dañado.

YES ! I thought I needed a phase with more options then 1 knob so I tried 3 kinds of phase 90 like pedals and liked the mad professor one best but wasn't all jacked up about it. After a few years I got this one and as soon as I tried it out I knew this was IT I absolutely love it .( sorry M.P. ) It's so smooth and lush and just right and just1 knob, I should have gotten it in the first place I promise you will love it too. I'm 55 yrs old been playing a long time trust me . Thank you mxr !

The classic sounds of the Phase 90 have been many and this reissue nails them all. Warm analog goodness that's surprisingly versatile for a one knob pedal. You can easily dial in the phased 70s clean guitar passages on Lou Reed 'Rock and Roll Animal' era songs that Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner performed so brilliantly, or a Nazareth 'Love Hurts' vibe, or the Stones' 'Shattered'.... This box does it all. Perhaps most surprising was that after all these years of playing guitar and of course, digging Van Halen, I never knew that setting this box on the slowest speed (knob all the way to the left) is the definitive VH1 lead guitar tone. Sounds like every solo from that album. Now I know! And if you didn't, know you know too. Don't hesitate, get this pedal. It's worth every penny.
