These were replacing front speakers in a mk8 civic on the standard headunit for now. The good: They handle volume better than the original Honda components, staying clear and distortion free at volumes the originals could only dream of. A bit more clarity and punch to the midrange over the factory speakers. The bad: Lack of low end. The originals were much better in this regard. Obviously you'll never get earth shattering bass from 6.5 inches, and it will depend on what they are replacing, but if you're looking for more oomph down low you may be seriously disappointed. Tweeters can be harsh sounding at higher volume without careful tweaking of the eq. They are an improvement over the originals but they're not the night and day difference I was hoping for. I also run an Alpine swe815 sub to cover the low end, so they work for me, but I think these really need the sub. I'm sure I'll see another step up in sound quality once amplified (or with an aftermarket headunit) but considering the cost and the high sensitivity of 93.5db these seem to be aimed squarely as an upgrade to factory speakers on low powered factory headunits. If you're not interested in amping or adding subwoofers you may be better looking elsewhere.

These look good but I was disappointed with the sound quality. Purchased to replace VW Up standard 6.5" speakers and tweeters. Install was fine and I even installed some extra sound deadening behind the doors. The system is a Beats audio with stock amp. Post install, too much high sound through tweeters, even with treble turned to minimum. Bass from speakers, worse than stock. For me I have wasted a few hours of install time and a chunk of cash on replacement which are not as good as the stock speakers. Shame as they "look" better quality than stock - but sound quality far reduced.

Such good sound quality for 2 days til one of the tweeters stopped working.

Por el precio que tienen , no puedes pedir más . Se escuchan muy bien. Altavoces de gama baja. Instalados en Seat Ibiza 6j, la instalación muy sencilla con adaptadores específicos (no incluidos). Los volvería a comprar.

Ik heb deze speakers niet gebruikt om in te bouwen in een auto maar om te gebruiken in een DIY desktop speaker project. De speakers geven een perfect geluid en de tweeters zijn een goede aanvulling. Naar mijn smaak iets te weinig bas voor muziek, maar het toevoegen van een subwoofer heeft dit opgelost. Zeer tevreden met de aankoop.

Excellent for the money! I installed these in a vintage car and wasn’t expecting much, I was wrong! I’m the past I was an avid MB Quart guy (pre 2004 before they were sold) and used to be spend a lot on auto stereo stuff and I was always somewhat disappointed. I scaled back my expectations and bought these 6.5” components for a loud an Italian sports car. While these aren’t the MB Quart of the past, these things play loud and clear and I’m using an Alpine head unit (1990s) with speaker level outputs. Best $100 you can spend!
