High quality, great cord charged fast

As someone who reviews cables as a hobby, I’ve tested everything from budget options to high-end builds, and Apple’s cables consistently set the standard for quality. You’re paying a premium, but in return, you get a cable that lasts significantly longer than most third-party alternatives—at least under normal use. On the test bench, I put this cable through a series of stress tests to see how much physical strain it could handle before failure. The woven outer layer does an excellent job reinforcing the cable, and in a direct pull test, it withstood around 63 lbs of tension before showing signs of internal failure (phone started to disconnect)—far more than the average plastic-coated cables that often snap at 20-30 lbs. However, the real weak point isn’t the cable itself but the connectors. If you frequently use the cable at a hard 90-degree angle, particularly near the USB-C ends, you’ll start to see wear much sooner than expected. The strain relief at the connector isn’t quite robust enough to handle constant bending under load. Overall, if you’re looking for a well-built, durable cable that can take a lot of general wear and tear, this is an excellent choice—just be mindful of how you position the connectors during use. If you’re constantly charging devices while using them at awkward angles, you might want to consider a cable with reinforced angled connectors instead.

This does not work effectively with the "older" block plugs. It will intermittently stop working. We thought the cord was bad, but we ended up buying a new plug from Apple, and it worked flawlessly. So just because it is Apple, and uses the USB-C, if it is for the phones prior to Iphone 15, then it may not work as effectively unfortunately. Otherwise, good cord, good length, good price.

I always buy Brand over budget because I’ve had to trash so much ($$$) that it’s more cost effective for me to pay the higher amount initially versus going through the aggravation of having to replace what already failed!
