Beautiful Purple Color!
I have a lot of knowledge about coloring my own hair as I grew up with an Aunt that owned a solon. I love pulp riot colors for fun haircolor and find them to be the best of all the ones I've tried before! And I've tried many! I use pulp riot color and Keracolor clenditioner also on Amazon to maintain my color brightness between colorings and my colors stay bright until its the next time to bleach and color.

Gorgeous Color, But More Blue Than Mystic!
As a romance author and a mom who likes to keep things spicy (both on the page and in my hair), I was ready for Mystic Fog to give me that perfect moody, mysterious purple-gray vibe. Well… let’s just say the mystic part is real, because I’m still out here trying to figure out where the purple went.On my hair, it pulled way more blue than I expected—like a stormy ocean rather than a dusky violet fog. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still gorgeous, super vibrant, and fades beautifully. But if you’re hoping for more of a true purple-gray tone, you might want to mix it with something warmer. That said, Pulp Riot always delivers on longevity, vibrancy, and keeping my hair feeling healthy. So while it wasn’t exactly what I envisioned, I’m still out here looking like a moody mermaid, and honestly? I’m not mad about it.

Pretty
I bleached my hair before putting in the dye and it was still a pretty dark purple. It dosnt fade too fast, ive had it in for a couple months now and it's still very purple but due to how blue the base is it kinda fades into a blue which i like. Definitely a good color, I find you can't really go wrong with pulp riot(Photos are after dye, and how it faded over time)

Not purple, very blue
The box suggest this would be very purple. The swatches I see from people on the Internet who’ve tried it suggest it would be extremely purple. I put it on my hair where I’ve used velvet in the past and on new hair. It came out extremely blue with no purple suggestion. I’m not sure if this is just not the real thing. I’ve ordered a tube from another seller to find out. The first I thought I just didn’t process it long enough or that I had used Hair product at the end of my processing that turned it so I did it again and it was only more blue. I was not pleased and I’m still trying to get the damn blue to calm down. Covering over it with velvet has been a struggle. I would’ve returned it, but I used it trying to get the color to come out purple because of my lack of knowledge.I’ve got a tube from another seller and I’m going to put a dab on a white washcloth and see what it does to it and attempt to confirm the color and whether or not it’s the mystic fog that is a failure or if it’s the seller. But beware if you’re not wanting a Blue and only blue Violet, then go get velvet instead. I was only putting a little bit at the top to try to darken my root area. I included the picture so you can see the shades of blue it turns out depending on how long you let it sit. The almost not visible in this photo extreme purple at the back is where I had velvet. The one place this color actually looked good, was on my end where it was laid over top of some very well set velvet. I’m not showing that because that is not the damn point.

Fades to navy blue very quickly
I have black hair and have been bleaching and dyeing it purple for like 3 years now. I use midnight fog, jam, and velvet and get lots of compliments. I use velvet on all my roots and just brush the rest with mystic fog and jam. I love it. The undertone of blue really holds on, so be prepared to use something like Blank Canvas if you want to change your color. Pics are of a fresh dye

Don’t waste your money
It didn’t stick to my hair I left it on for about an hour and it rinsed out almost completely so definitely not worth what I paid for it

Color was more blue than purple
I picked this color because I wanted my grey/white hairs to reflect a purple color and it was blue instead. The rest of my dark brown hair did reflect more purple than blue but it was visible. Additionally, it rinsed out after 5 or 6 washes. I might try a different color but I don't have high hopes.

Don't bother on virgin hair, color not as advertised
I had high hopes that Pulp Riot might be a decent alternative to Pravana Vivids, which has gotten so tough to get ahold of. I was wrong. In the pic, you can see the horrible, splotchy Mystic Fog at the root, the already dull Velvet where my bleached hair begins, and below that are the nice bright Pravana Wild Orchid and Arctic Fox Wrath and Transylvania. First, my untreated hair hardly held the color. It's splotchy where it did take and missing pretty much everywhere else. The Velvet color barely took to the parts of my hair that are bleached. It turns a weird, creamy texture as you apply it and barely even stained my gloves while applying. Mystic Fog basically didn't touch my dark blond roots, and where it did stick, it's navy blue, not dark purple (it came out of the tube almost the same color as Velvet). I've been doing my own vivids for almost ten years. This brand and Adore are the only ones I've had such bad results from. I don't expect amazing results on untreated hair, but this is ridiculous.
