Flawless, exceptional quality at a steal of a price.
I can't fault these pencils, tried additional leads from 2 to 4b and absolutely flawless with all combinations. Wonderful. Would buy again without hesitation. Value for money is outstanding. Comfort exceptional. As a gift you are someone's best friend.

My favourite mechanical pencil!
I have used these mechanical pencils for years. Comfy, slim grip which is nice to hold and a decent mechanism.A really nicely made bit of stationary.

2 minor issues
First of all, let me say these pencils are superb and I highly recommend them, however I have two minor issues. First, the items I received were not in a "pack", like a pack of pens I bought at the same time, instead they were four loose and seperate pencils individually bar coded without a pack which would have been handy for storage and carrying them around in. Second, the current listing states that "Each Pencil Is Supplied With 2 Super Hi Polymer HB Refill Leads", there are inded two leads, but one of them is the lead already in the pencil and only one "refill" is provided. Personally I don't think the original lead can be classed as a "refill", I therefore thought I would be getting the original lead and two "refills" but this was not the case, only one "refill" for each pencil is supplied.

Great pencils
These pencils seem to grip better than the older style.

How do you refill these pencils
These pencils are excellent ! But as they are sold as refillable, it would have been helpful to know how you open them to refill them. They do not appear to be refillable to me.

Reliable pencils but "pack price" isn't always what you think.
These are old faithfuls n the world of mech pencils, they have been around a good few years and refilling the lead is like many other mech pencils. Simply take off the end cap and pull the eraser out of the main body and then feed the leads into the main body. The cushioned grip feels nice on your fingertips and each lead size has its own coloured body so they are easy to find in an overstuffed pencil case. Now here's the first problem, the pencil case has taken a step up the evolution scale and ,with a big price drop, the flat book like pencil cases are becoming very popular. The pages have individual spaces for all types of pens/pencils and the elastic hoop holder can fit different sizes on the same 'page' , sounds great so what's the problem ?It's the lovely cushioned grip, it gets caught up on the elastic holder and take alot of pushing and stretching to shove the mech pencil in but getting it back out is worse and there is a high probability that the outcome would be the case flying across the room while you borrow a stubby hb pencil from a person you nearly beheaded with said case. A solution is to take the pocket clip off but then the end cap has a habit of pinging off or you go through leads as the end gets depressed by accident. The other issue is this isn't a set manufactured by Pentel, it has been put together by a third party seller as a bundle so they won't come in a preformed case but loose. The reason to by is the cost saving if you need/want the complete size range -0,3mm, 0,5mm, 0,7mm, 0,9mm-each with 2 HB leads. Some advice on mech pencils and leads. There are a ton of mech pencils on the market with even more price tags and gimmicks but in the end they all have the same job, which is to hold and dispense different sizes and grades of leads. How many different lead grades you use is personal preference but it's seems that 2B-4B-6B are the most common, with sometimes a B for rough layouts. If you want these three basic leads in all your mech pencils sizes which becomes pricey .All of this can put quite a hole in your bank account then add on the fact that leads perform differently than wood pencils even if they are manufactured by the same company and the hunt for the lead that suits you can be very frustrating ang again adds to your dwindling account. In the it's the leads that produce the art not the holder so until you find the brand of leads that suits your art hold back on buying expensive mech pencils and use that money on the leads.Focus on the 3 basic lead grades-2B-4B-6B and ask peoples advice and, if they are using a different brand of leads from you, ask if you could try a lead out, it will save you some money and it's a good icebreaker , just remember to return the favour if possible. once you've found your brand of leads then treat yourself and upgrade your mech pencil.

Good pencils
A bit over priced for what they are. But they do the job admirably.
