Duck MAX Strength Window Insulation Kit

I found this window kit very helpful during this cold winter. Most of my storm windows are old and using this kit enabled me to seal these windows and reduce heat loss. The tape is very effective and easy to apply and I also found the plastic sheeting easy to handle. The plastic is very clear and allows good outside visibility. I have even used an old window seal kit and found both the tape and the plastic sheeting entirely unaltered after 3 years. I heartily recommend this inexpensive way to both keep more heat in your house and also eliminate drafts from old windows.

I had no issues what so ever putting this window insulation kit up! It was very simple as long as you follow the directions. The hair dryer made it air tight and took all the wrinkles out. It has helped so much to keep the cold air out. I’m hoping in the summer it helps keep the hot air out too! It fits my windows perfectly. It was one of the best prices I could find. It’s not cheap material and it has been up for over a month with no tape issues.

This stuff saved us a huge electric bill this winter. Record low temperature and lots of wind gusts blew through my 1920 house. This product cut the heat loss and drafts way down. Easy to install. Great pruduct. Highly recommend!

This product does work and its clear so you can easily see through it (unlike the frosty white competitors) BUT: -The instructions on the box don't seem to make sense, it does work but you have to make sure that the window HEIGHT is no taller than the shortest dimension of the film because they have you attach it and roll it across from left to right, then cut the roll off then UNFOLD the film DOWN. Yes I did it, yes it makes sense, no it's not as simple as it seems. -Most people DO NOT install it as seen in this video or on the box instructions because WE HAVE WINDOW SHADES, so if you follow these instructions then you have sealed your window shade in behind the film, so you cannot raise nor lower the shade -So what those of us with window shades do is to apply the tape to the frame of the window so we can still use our shade -Clean clean clean the surface AND THEN cut a piece of tape and see if it sticks properly, my problem was that I had the window balancers serviced some months ago and the window technician sprayed the window groves and rails with SILICONE SPRAY, the problem is that TAPE WILL NOT STICK TO SILICONE so the tape falls off, therefore you should make sure that the tape can stick firmly before you begin -The film is thin so its clear and you can see through it easily which also means that it can tear easily so be careful -The method shown in this video and the instructions on the box are actually super easy to apply because you have plenty of room and don't have to lay the tape precisely, so if you do not have a window shade in the way then using this technique on the outside of the window hole I could probably install this film in less than 5 minutes without breaking a sweat and if you are careful (with a sharp eye) you probably could install it without having to use the blow drier at all -It is worth it, take you time.

This was so much better than I expected. I have some old windows that the cold air comes through so I ordered these. They are simple to put on the window. The adhesive strip could be a little thicker to make it even easier to attach. I knew these would not be attractive, but they aren’t that bad. They work great!! They completely block the cold air and quickly changed the temperature of the rooms the windows are in. I cannot believe what a huge difference these make. I would definitely recommend these.

This is a quality item and the tape seals well. Some reviewers stated that the tape doesn’t hold well. I covered 10 windows about a month ago and the tape is still holding up well on all of the windows. Before I applied the tape I cleaned around all the windows with a damp cloth so the tape would stick to the surface. The tape is so effective that I used it to hem a plastic shower curtain liner and it worked beautifully and still holding even after being exposed to steam.

Works well easy to apply cost effective

Very easy to apply and was better quality than I expected. It really keeps the cold air out and eliminates the draft from my old windows. It was easy to stick on, even to cold wooden window frames. It was easy to cut to size and I am very happy with this purchase. I will certainly be using every winter until we upgrade our windows.

We have old leaky windows so bought some caulk for the cracks and this to cover the entire window. The sheets were slightly too short so at the bottom of each window so we cut and stuck an additional sheet strip. We’ve been struggling to get our heating above 17 but after installing this and the caulk combined we’ve reached 19 the house feels so much warmer. It was easy to install with two people and any initial bunches or creases where you stick the sheets can be smoothed out when using the hairdryer.

Does not do it at easy as it says, I total waste of money in my opinion

Really works well. Be patients and ensure surface is clean before applying adhesive tape. Two people makes the job a lot better. Got out to be tight as a drum. Looks great and has improved heat retention in this old bedroom of ours. Photos are actually hard to see it applied so well 😂

Easy to install and stays tight once heated and shrunk to fit and smooth out. Cheaper brands don't stay tight after awhile.
