Really great results achieved for impasto art. I loved it and would definitely buy again. It mixes well with all acrylic brands and increases the volume of paint by 50% so it also makes your paints stretch that much further saving you money. I love the fact that all my brush and knife strokes stay show the canvas. It dries to a soft sheen. Nothing too garish or super shiny. I like the fact it’s in a screw top tub with a sliver foil seal and I can scoop up a little product with a wood stick and apply to my palette how much I need without waste. Wonderful quality- Liquitex is fast becoming a favourite brand.

I start with what I like. I like that it easily dilutes the acrylic colours, both heavy body and normal, irridescent etc. It is my universal medium. Not only as diluent (with or without inhibitor), but also to apply it as tints or glazes and just applying as a plain undercoat or overcoat (in place of varnish). What do I dislike? Well, the usual quick drying, that double edged sword of all acrylics. I also like (as many might agree with) the tub it is in. Just one recycled ice cream stick and I can scoop out to palette what I need for paint or glaze, add any water if necessary and continue.

Have used this product before and have always been satisfied with the results. It is easy and clean to use and does the job well.

This is fantastic stuff especially if you like to experiment. I’ve used it to add body to paint, used more to sculpt with paint. As a glaze/varnish with different gauge brushes to create effects and as a pre-coat on glass to ensure adhesion for acrylic paint. It’s finish is gloss, but not too much, more a shiny satin. You won’t be disappointed.
